Which way around for these middle names?

Top contender baby name is Felicity.

We also want to use 2 family names (one from DH's side, one from mine) as middle names. I know middle names aren't said aloud very often so it doesn't matter too much - but which way round would you have these?

Felicity Chloe Margaret or
Felicity Margaret Chloe

I don't care whether you like Felicity, or any of the other names though!

Chloe first has a better ring I thinkSmile

Sunshineandshowers81 · 01/05/2019 17:08

Definitely Felicity Chloe Margaret, it's easier to say,I found the other way a bit of a tongue twister!

FabulouslyFab · 01/05/2019 17:09

Felicity Chloe Margaret for me!

dementedpixie · 01/05/2019 17:11

Yep chloe first

lottiegarbanzo · 01/05/2019 17:11

Well I do like Felicity.

FCM, though it may depend on your surname - how many syllables?

LucyFox · 01/05/2019 17:13

I far prefer Felicity Margaret Chloe

autumndreaming · 01/05/2019 17:15

Felicity Chloe Margaret

SoupDragon · 01/05/2019 17:17

Felicity Margaret Chloe

AdaColeman · 01/05/2019 17:24

Felicity Margaret Chloe sounds better. The two longer names first, then the shorter name bringing the list to a neat close.

Felicity is lovely!

Peachbubble · 01/05/2019 17:51

Felicity Chloe Margaret I think

Megan2018 · 01/05/2019 17:53

@lottiegarbanzo Our surname is one syllable.

I think I prefer Margaret before Chloe as both Felicity and Chloe end in ee

DramaAlpaca · 01/05/2019 19:41

Felicity Margaret Chloe sounds better to me.

Cookit · 01/05/2019 20:13

Chloe Margaret

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 01/05/2019 21:53

I think Felicity Margaret Chloe flows better - as both Felicity and Chloe end in “ee”, they do sound similar and Margaret breaks it up nicely

aibutohavethisusername · 01/05/2019 21:58

FCM

BoomZahramay · 01/05/2019 22:00

FMC otherwise you have two ee sounds together.

finallychangedmyusername · 01/05/2019 22:20

Felicity Margaret Chloe sounds better IMO.

Chocmallows · 01/05/2019 22:21

Chloe first.

MercyBodle · 02/05/2019 01:40

I think Felicity Chloe Margaret works much better. The other way is very clunky.

lottiegarbanzo · 02/05/2019 07:36

I think, with a short surname, you need Chloe in the middle, to give it some rhythm and flow. Otherwise it sounds like two separate names 'Felicity Margaret, Chloe Smith', or as if you're racing towards the end.

With a long surname, Chloe would give you a breather, before flowing into the surname, 'Felicity Margaret Chloe Mulholland'. With a short one you need that breather in the middle, for an even pace.

thisisthetime · 02/05/2019 07:38

Chloe first. It rolls off the tongue much better.

Megan2018 · 02/05/2019 09:20

Thanks all, appreciate the input. Looks like Chloe Margaret is edging it. We've got ages to decide (due Sept).

I'm still not 100% sure on Felicity only because it is alliterative with our surname, which I can't post as it is genuinely very unusual (I am literally the only person on facebook with my first name and our surname!), but DH is set on it.
