My friends DD age 12 is Addaleigh nn Addie

Like it. There was one on 'Homefront' the recent Radio 4 drama about WWI. She was quite well-to-do and was 'Ad-a-line' rw fine.

I also love Adela (like A. Quested in A Passage to India).

Adele is nice too.

Sounds too much like "anodyne" which is kind of appropriate.
