Name suggestions based on our (very!) shortlist

Hi,
We are expecting a girl and really struggling to come up with names that suit our criteria, which are: does not begin with an A or an I, does not end in an A, is not flower based. The first two reasons being due to it not suiting our surname.

Names that we both like but can't use for various reasons:

  • Megan
  • Catrin
  • Cara

Names that I like but my husband doesn't:

  • Caitlin
  • Rachel
  • Verity

Names that my husband likes but I'm not keen on:

  • Charlotte (currently a bit too popular for my liking)
  • Naomi (negative connotations)
  • Erin (doesn't sound right with my accent)

Thus, our current shortlist is:

  • Lauren
  • Fearne (or Fern)

Any suggestions greatly received, as we are getting very bored of looking at baby name websites!

Fern is gorgeous - only that spelling, though.

MikeUniformMike · 28/04/2019 16:26

Lauren - dislike it and it's dated. Laura is much nicer.
Fearne (or Fern) - Fern is nice.
Caitlin - overused a few years ago
Rachel - fine
Verity - no
Charlotte - currently a bit too popular
Naomi - don't like it
Erin - too popular

I think I woukd choose Laura.

Fern, it’s my dds name so a little bit biased. Although we’ve spelt it differently.

Lol - this is so funny. So - no flower names, no names beginning with an A or an I or ending with A. Now count up the people who cannot read the post :) So I am going for Alyssa which covers all the above :)
