What do you think?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
tilder · 27/04/2019 21:15

Lovely name, but imo fairly modern so not classic in the way George is for a boy.

TheBulb · 27/04/2019 21:17

Definitely not classic. I find its popularity mystifying.

pineapplepatty · 27/04/2019 21:36

Nah it's dated certainly not a classic imo.

SallyWD · 27/04/2019 21:47

I've always loved it

fblake · 27/04/2019 21:50

It's lovely Smile

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 27/04/2019 21:53

Georgina is a classic

Georgia is a bit 90s/00s

AuntieStella · 27/04/2019 21:53

It's a name I like, and don't see as dated.

But I don't think it's a classic - Georgina would be

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 27/04/2019 22:07

Dated, but also beautiful, and who says dated is a bad thing.

Tillygetsit · 27/04/2019 22:16

I love it and much prefer it to the frilly Georgiana and ploddy Georgina. It sounds horrendous with our surname so wasn't a contender for us but its lovely.

Shadow1234 · 27/04/2019 22:41

Lovely name.

bridgetreilly · 27/04/2019 23:43

I think it's a bit blah.

And also, you never know when there might be another war there.

Whizzler · 27/04/2019 23:46

I think things have been fairly stable between us since Georgia ratified the US Constitution in 1788.

Whizzler · 27/04/2019 23:46
Wink
BeTheHokeyMan · 27/04/2019 23:48

It's seen as a bit ' common' back where I'm from but a vair posh family in the village where we live now have named their daughter Georgia so make of that what you will Grin I think it's a nice enough name definitely not old fashioned imo anyway

Sophronia · 27/04/2019 23:50

Dated. Georgina is much nicer.

Kittykatmacbill · 28/04/2019 08:17

Not a fan, Georgina is nice and classic. Georgia is not and a bit ‘ing-er-land’.

RuthW · 28/04/2019 09:05

Dated. When dd was little she asked my why she wasn't called Georgia as she had 7 friends with the name. She's 22.

Kokeshi123 · 28/04/2019 13:08

I really like it.

Eustasiavye · 28/04/2019 13:10

I have an irrational dislike of the name.
No idea why but it sets my teeth on edge.

Still18atheart · 28/04/2019 13:13

I really like Georgina or Georgiana then have it shortens to Georgia or Georgie

mossyroundhill · 28/04/2019 13:15

I prefer Georgina

Butterfly84 · 28/04/2019 14:28

Dated and doesn't even sound very nice IMO.

Bumblebeesmum · 28/04/2019 14:48

Dated

Pepperwand · 28/04/2019 17:02

My favourite girl's name as I think it is pretty but not overly common but DP really isn't keen. Just goes to show you you'll never please everyone!

BoomZahramay · 28/04/2019 21:41

Dated. Agree Georgina is the classic.

I suspect bridge meant the one that borders Russia...
