Irish boys' names

Hi. Having a lot of trouble deciding on a name. Currently living in Ireland but possibly moving to England at some point in future. Looking for an Irish name for our son but one that is spelt phonetically easily for English! Any ideas much appreciated.

Many of the names listed above are Irish surnames & wouldn't really be used as first names in Ireland. There's some good ones though - Lorcan, Declan, Conor, Aidan, Finn, Liam, Cormac - are all easy to say. I'd add Rory to the list as well.

For similar reasons to the OP we chose Irish names that were easy to spell & pronounce for the English side of the family. There's plenty of them out there & some nice ones listed above. We chose anglicised versions because DH has a name with an Irish spelling & it gets mangled in England because people can't work out the vowel sounds. We are back in Ireland now so no such problems.

Cormac is a great name and easy to proumounce.
