Very early pregnancy, so not sure if boy or girl!

We have boy, name has Scandi influence

Just playing around with this one. Not sure if I love it, or find it a bit meh!

Linnéa

Lovely. Really lovely.

SallyWD · 19/04/2019 07:53

I know one. Nice name

stellarfox · 19/04/2019 08:35

It’s nice if you have some scandi links

spreadingchestnuttree · 19/04/2019 08:37

I like it - how's it pronounced?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 19/04/2019 08:37

How is it pronounced? And links to the area? Also best to check a foreign name with a local.

bridgetreilly · 19/04/2019 08:42

I like it, though I've never seen it with the accent.

AndItStillSaidFourOfTwo · 19/04/2019 08:43

I think it's LinnAYa. (the accent wouldn't usually be there but is there as a pronunciation guide - am I right?)

TheLetterOfTheLawTheLetter · 19/04/2019 08:54

Thats right!

It's ok, the fathers a local Smile

Lovely

Moominfan · 19/04/2019 09:02

Lovely

spreadingchestnuttree · 19/04/2019 09:09

I prefer it without the accent - otherwise it looks like it's trying to be French, but not, if you see what I mean?

TheLetterOfTheLawTheLetter · 19/04/2019 09:17

Good to know, thanks for opinions! Wouldnt use the accent

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 19/04/2019 09:52

If it doesn’t have the accent how would it be pronounced?

golddustwomen · 19/04/2019 10:08

Never heard it before but it's absolutely lovely! Congratulations!

Lobsterquadrille2 · 19/04/2019 10:24

It looks very pretty - without the accent I would assume it's pronounced Linea, as in Latin for line.

Buenavista · 19/04/2019 10:27

Sorry but my first thought was Lino as in the flooring type

Linnet · 19/04/2019 10:34

It’s lovely 😊

Greggers2017 · 19/04/2019 11:09

How do people get Lino from that?
That's as silly as saying carol makes them think of carpet. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Enko · 19/04/2019 11:28

I don't like it that much personally prefer Lena or Nea in that area. I am simply not keen on names with ' in them (unsure whyGrin)

TheLetterOfTheLawTheLetter · 19/04/2019 12:05

Greggers Grin I was thinking the same, all opinions welcome of course, but it does turn into a random word association for some people.

I have a childhood friend called Linnéa! Absolutely gorgeous name 😍

LadyKylieShagworthy · 19/04/2019 14:12

Nice name but reminds me of Linea - John Lewis' clothing range.
Or maybe it's House of Fraser.

ZebraKid71 · 19/04/2019 21:58

I really like it, but only in full,.. I know two (one English and one American) and both get called Lin or Linny which I really don't like.

Bumblebeesmum · 19/04/2019 22:04

It’s nothing like Lino it’s Linea as in the word linea! It’s used a lot in astronomy so that’s where my mind goes first but I think it might also be the name of the line women can get across their belly when pregnant?

Never heard it as a name but it sounds nice

Bumblebeesmum · 19/04/2019 22:04

No no Carol makes me think of carrots.
