We’re due in 3 weeks and can’t decide our little boys name. He is baby number 4 as we already have

Matilda & Eliza (twins)
Freddie

DH wants Bobby which I like but I have always loved Hugo. Other names we like are

Stanley (my late dads name)
George
Chester Smile

I was going to say definitely Hugo, a favourite of mine and lovely with the siblings. However now I see it's Robert with nn Bobby that does change it for me. I'd still put Hugo in first spot, but do like Bobby with the siblings too. I also like George.

Ploppymoodypants · 14/04/2019 04:24

Hugo is lovely
Robert is too. Bobby though does sound like a rough footballer and doesn’t really go with your other names.

Mind you I don’t like anything like that for boys so maybe it’s just me 🤷🏼‍♀️ I.e.
Thomas= Lovely. Tom= fine. Tommy = Kat and Alfie Slater or Moon or whatever they are.

I prefer Hugo and Stanley!

MrsPworkingmummy · 14/04/2019 09:28

@Krimpy I used inverted commas as a distancing device, signalling my dislike of the name 'Bobby' as well as to acknowledge the colloquial nature of both words. Apologies!

TatianaLarina · 14/04/2019 09:47

Like Robert and Hugo, Bobby is awful.

myname666 · 14/04/2019 10:38

Stanley ❤️

DarlingLittleBabyName · 14/04/2019 10:40

Wow I LOVE the names Matilda, Eliza and Freddie. they are gorgeous :)
I strongly prefer Hugo too, Bobby just does not age well. but my favourite has to be Chester- this is a favourite of mine!! It’s 7 letters like Freddie and doesn’t ‘Freddie and Chester’ sound perfect?! Good luck with whatever you chose! xx

UCOinanOCG · 14/04/2019 10:42

I like Robert. It can be shortened many ways - Rob, Robbie, Bob, Bobby, Bert, Bertie etc. I would call him Robert and allow his nickname to develop afterwards as he grows.

hazandduck · 14/04/2019 10:44

I vote Hugo! Our DD is Matilda, if she’d been a boy she was going to be Hugo. I think the names go really nicely together. I like Bobby, but nowhere near as much.

NicksWife08 · 14/04/2019 11:04

I vote Hugo, but I am biased as I have a Hugo. Everyone comments on his name and loves it.
I also love Robert, but not Bobby.

MollyYouInDangerGirl · 14/04/2019 11:07

I'd go for Hugo or George.

Really dont like Bobby, sorry! Not seem kn Chester either.

Stanley I'm in two minds about- it's a family name for me too so I feel like I should be loyal to it but I dont think I actually like it haha

MollyYouInDangerGirl · 14/04/2019 11:08

Ugh sorry - I meant "not keen on Chester either"

twinchaosdancemom · 14/04/2019 19:08

Thank you everyone! I am leaning towards Hugo as it is more different to Freddie and goes with my DC names better.
Middle name suggestions... Hugo Stanley or Hugo George?

Stanley

hazandduck · 14/04/2019 21:18

Hugo George :)

Kokeshi123 · 15/04/2019 01:24

Hugo by a country mile.

Bobby is slang for Poo in some parts of the UK....

Prettylittlelady · 15/04/2019 22:44

Both are good names.
I think Hugo is a little classier and goes well with your girl’s lovely names as well as avoids the same ending as your other son.

NutMeghan · 15/04/2019 23:48

Don't use Hugo. Huge Ego

Robert with nickname Bobby is very nice
