I quite like it though I prefer the Zadie spelling, maybe because it's more recognisable from the author.

I came across another Zaidee the other day.

I do think it’s slightly silly using it just because it happened to be a name of an ancestor (they could be anyone!) but if you really love it then fair enough! I just don’t think it’s should matter more because of that iyswim

The Zadie I know pronounces it as Sadie.

I like the sound but not the spelling. Zadie is lovely though

It's actually okay if you spell it Zadie, like the author. Zadee just looks made up
