Felix, Jack or Dominic?!

That quite simply. Due a boy very soon but struggling with names. Husband initially reluctant on Felix due to the cat thing but warming to it now. What do you ladies think??

Go for Felix. Jack is nice but as you know it’s sooo popular, there are 5 in my work (a small shop) and calling out over the tannoy is a nightmare so I imagine how annoying that sort of thing constantly must be for them. All age 18-22ish but I also know loads of younger ones called it too

I love all 3 names and so totally get your dilemma! In the end I would probably cross off Jack if it's not your strong front runner because of its popularity. Then I think Felix would be my first choice because it just feels very cool to me, and is just a bit neater and shorter than Dominic. But that's just to separate them as I do think they're all really good.

I love Dominic, it’s cool but not overused. Felix is ok but I think it is becoming quite popular as have heard of a few in the last year. Lots of people associate with cats too but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Jack is boring in my opinion, there are so many of them.

Dominic then Jack.

I actually prefer Jack, but it’s been the most popular name for about 25 years now so there are simply loads of them.

Dom or Nick are nice nn too.

Honestly sweetie I always say you should go big or go home
20 other pegs at nursery will say Jack, but if we’re talking later in life a boy named after a Greek god for example would be so cool in my opinion
And maybe you should go with something that is really meaningful to you, I’m not talking naming your son after your dad or whatever but if you grew up watching Felix and the cats and that’s why you want to name him that go for it!! Or whatever you do you but that’s my opinion

Jack has been so so popular for 20+ years. There are literally thousands of them. I know lots of people don’t mind popularity but Jack is uniquely, insanely popular. Felix and then Dominic for me.

Dominic is my favourite on that list. Its DS1s name.

I'd rule out Jack due to popularity. Too common. Then from my personal choice on the remaining two, I'd pick Dominic. Such a great and underused name.

I love Dominic but my DH won’t use due to someone he knew and didn’t like being named it 🙄 I’d have loved to use it for our son so that would be my choice. All great names though x

Felix is a great name, one of my favourites. Go for it!

My favourite is Jack, a lovely name imo.
then Felix, then Dominic. Don't know why but Dominic seems like a mouthful to me! x

Thanks for all the opinions. I love the meaning behind the name Felix too and I foolishly (blame pregnancy hormones) hope that it'll mean he is a happy/lucky wee chap. Think Jack is off the table now. I'm 70% Felix, 30% Dominic so will wait and see what he looks like when he comes out in a few days! Thanks again xx

Dominic=dominate
Jack=classic stand alone name imo

Of the 3, Felix because Jack is so popular. I don't like Dominic - it ends up being Dom.

Dominic is alright, not overly popular, no dodgy connotations.

Jack is so, so over used and dull.
