What do you think of Archie? We're having our second boy. Our first is called Zac, really struggling to find something we love this time!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Sorry, but to me it’s like nails screeching on a board, sets my teeth on edge.

Tiramisu1 · 26/03/2019 22:23

I really dislike it, sorry

thegreylady · 26/03/2019 23:34

The Archie I know is Archer James for his full name. I like it.

Monday55 · 26/03/2019 23:41

I prefer Archer, it sounds more elegant.

feelingsinister · 26/03/2019 23:58

I love Archie!

MercyBodle · 27/03/2019 06:45

I like it and works well for Zac's brother.

Cookit · 27/03/2019 06:48

I’m sorry I also hate it. Like Alfie, it’s just so twee. If you use Archer it makes it better but still not ideal.

sue51 · 27/03/2019 06:50

Its quite popular. I took dgd to the park at the weekend and there were a couple of Archies playing on the slide. I like Archie but not keen on Archibald.

cocomelon23 · 27/03/2019 06:54

I don't like it. There are loads of them now, all between 7 and 10 years old.

Tiramisu1 · 27/03/2019 06:55

It sounds ugly (especially the Arch part), it looks twee and it seems faddy ie likely to date.

Tiramisu1 · 27/03/2019 06:57

Archibald is awful as a full name, Archer a little better. But isn't that someone who does archery?
