Hiya all

I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant with my twins girls being induced on Saturday and I have no names at all.

I love double barrelled names😍 as my first born is called Ethan-Ray

If anyone could help then much appreciated

Double barrelled names are a bit "council house princess" here. And your son already has one, I would strongly advise against continuing the trend.

Remember twins are seperate people who will grow up to be adults. And because they are likely to be born on the same day having the same initials can really mess things up (medical notes getting confused, benefits information being confused). I have no name recommendations but please please please don't give them cutesy matching names, or names that begin with the same letter.

Good luck on your induction.

In my son's school there was a girl named Ivy-Tiger. I thought it was brillant!

Isadora Rose?
Gracie-May?
Lilly-Mae?
Ava-Lilly?

KingHenrysCodpiece · 19/03/2019 08:30

Penelope-grace

caseyrhodess · 19/03/2019 09:45

Even though me and my partner love them, our family don't advise it but here are some names we like and our family like

Elsie
Emsé
Grace ( families choice too popular for us)
Cora
Jaiden
Rosa
Belle/ Bella

Elsie is very sweet. Jaiden sounds like a boy's name to me.

Sophronia · 19/03/2019 10:22

I like Cora and Rosa

Lahlahfizzyfizzydoda · 19/03/2019 10:50

What about Esme as opposed to emse?

ItsInTheSpoon · 19/03/2019 10:52

Rosa is lovely.
What about Anna?

KathyS901 · 19/03/2019 11:16

Elsie and Rosa

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 19/03/2019 11:19

Chloe-Jade
Molly-Grace

Heidi-Jo
Megan-Leigh

Sophie-Jay
Daisy-May

TeenTimesTwo · 19/03/2019 11:23

Can you imagine calling for them in the park if you double barrel?

Ethan-Rae, Rosa-lily, Cora-Grace come here. Sounds a bit of a mouthful to me.

Elsie and Cora.

BlueChampagne · 19/03/2019 12:38

Rosa and Cora

FawnDrench · 19/03/2019 12:42

Imogen and Ellisse

mogtheexcellent · 19/03/2019 12:51

I would go with what you like and ignore the family. Unless they are vetoing Chardonnay and Prosecco in which case follow their lead.

Agree with a PP. Dont do similar sounding names with the same initials it will make life too confusing.

I know girl twins called Mathilde and Felicity. All your names are fairly non offensive and classic. I wouldnt use Jaiden though as its not classic enough and would be a bit mismatched.

BlueMerchant · 19/03/2019 12:57

Bella-Grace
Rosa- May

Shadow1234 · 19/03/2019 18:23

My grand-daughter is going to have a double barrelled name when she is born (due in 6 weeks), and I really would prefer for her to have a first name and middle name instead, (but not my decision, so each to their own I suppose).

The only two I dont really like on your list are Jaiden and Bella, the others are nice.

Some suggestions:

Sienna Rose - Sienna Faye
Autumn Rose - Autumn Grace - Autumn Joy
Harley May/Mae - Harley Rose - Harley Grace
Sophia Grace - Sophia May/Mae
Kenzie Rose or Kenzie Leigh
Maddison Leigh - Maddison Joy
Savannah Rose - Savannah Grace- Savannah Faye
Georgia Leigh - Georgia Mae - Georgia Grace
Isla Faye
Lyra May - Lyra Mae - Lyra Grace - Lyra Rose
Violet Rose
Megan Rose
Lorna Faye - Lorna Grace - Lorna Rose
Elsie May/Mae - Elsie Leigh
Rhianna Leigh
Eliza Rose
Sara Faye - Sara Grace Sara Rose

(not all to my taste, but maybe along the lines that you are looking for.

It’s up to you regarding whether you want to call your DDs by 2 names but you don’t need to hyphenate them. For instance theames Anne Marie and Mary Jane are not usually hyphenated. Choose names which go well together then you have the option of a double barrelled name or a single name. If you find the double barrelled option too cumbersome you can revert to the first names alone. When they start school you tell the school what your preferred names are

NuffSaidSam · 22/03/2019 10:16

Rosa and Cora are lovely.

Go well together, but not too cutsey/samey.

Go well with Ethan.

Neither are massively popular, but not unheard of.

Much easier when you're calling them for dinner than having 3 double barrelled names! You can give them a middle name and use that as well when you want to use a longer name.

Lovely.

aliceandkids77 · 23/03/2019 16:09

Lily-Rose
Lily-Mae
Poppy-Mae
Daisy-Grace
Lara-Alice
Georgia-Mae
Georgia-Rose
Annabel-Grace
good luck x

RayaJambalaya · 23/03/2019 19:22

Hope all is going well for you! @caseyrhodess

Rachelhaydenberk1 · 23/03/2019 21:19

For double names I think Faye, Grace, Rose, Lily, Leigh, Mae or short, really common names have to be the second name. Not my style and sounds like fictional characters to me from like South Carolina!!

I do like Rosa Belle and maybe you could do Lily Esme? Or Daisy Grace? Two flower names would be cute for twins!

Smellbellina · 23/03/2019 21:21

I love Elsie and Cora

Doilooklikeatourist · 23/03/2019 21:28

I’d go with
Rosa Lynn
Cora Belle
Mary Ann
Anna Bella
Or something similar , names that are or can be one name , but still nice and long

caseyrhodess · 27/03/2019 22:56
