Liking the Name Theon for a baby boy as 2 of the names on my list were Theo and Leon, but I wanted to find a name a little less popular, and although I like Theon.. I can't get passed the GoT association, would this put anyone else off??

You know what happened to Theon? Confused
Leon is lovely.

brizzlemint · 12/03/2019 12:51

Theon means godly so maybe not if you are an atheist family.

BlueMerchant · 12/03/2019 12:55

Theo-Yes
Leon-Yes
Theon-NO!!!!

daisypond · 12/03/2019 13:06

Yes, it would put me off, because of what happens to character, no matter how you might protest it was actually the name of an Ancient Greek mathematician.

LivLemler · 12/03/2019 13:17

I wouldn't want to be a boy at school called Theon given what happens to the GoT character... There are some character names that might be useable, but that's absolutely not one of them imo.

Never heard of the name 'Theon'. Imo Leon and Theo are both gorgeous names and much nicer than Theo! x

NuffSaidSam · 12/03/2019 13:36

I don't watch GoT, but Theon sounds made up. It's sounds like what it is, a Theo-Leon cross breed.

Leon is lovely.

Theo is ok, significantly better than Theon!
