We found naming ds very easy but have really struggled this time with narrowing down a girl's name! Here is our list; those with a * are dh's favourites.

Scarlett
Lucy
Hannah *
Nieve *
Imogen *
Layla
Freya
Fey
Una
Catherine
Iona
Rebecca
Emily

Any thoughts?

Also, if we don't use Lucy or Hannah as first names we may use them as middle names for sentimental reasons.

I like Iona and Scarlett.

I'd spell Nieve and Fey as Niamh or Neve and Faye. Keep life simple

I like the spelling Niamh much better than Nieve...

@susannach Oona. It was my gran's name.

It's interesting hearing people's thoughts. Currently favourite for dh and I is Emily Johanna (or Hannah)

Lucy, Hannah, Catherine, Rebecca or Emily. I guess I like more traditional names.
Agree with whoever said Fey would be better spelt Faye. Where I grew up, a "fey" person was maybe a bit immature or fake.
Iona makes me think "I own a".

Hannah * - it's a nice name but just seems so old? I'm in my mid 20s and no millions of Hannah's but don't know any younger ones
Nieve * - no don't like but prefer the spelling neve
Imogen * - like
Layla - like
Freya - love
Fey - don't like but prefer the spelling of faye
Una - no
Catherine - same as hannah above - I know loads my age and older seems a bit old for a child these days?
Iona - no
Rebecca - see hannah and catherine
Emily - again a bit plain and over done

Emily Johanna is lovely! I like most of the names on your list: Scarlett, Lucy, Hannah, Neve or Niamh (only one of these spellings), Freya, Catherine, Iona, Rebecca, Emily. I think Fey would work well as a middle name, but not keen on it for a first.
