Names with lots of nicknames

One of the things I dislike about my own name is that there are literally no nicknames for it. For our baby we would like a name with lots of nicknames so that they have options depending on their personality, eg Elizabeth could be Liz, Betsy, Beth, Eliza etc, Theodore could be Theo, Ted, Teddy. Just looking for suggestions of similar names where there are lots of potential nicknames?

Margaret - Maggie, Mags, Marge, Margee, Peggy, Pegs, Greta, Rita, Retta, Etty, Daisy, Molly.

(Peggy is from the Scottish variant and Daisy from the French but they're both traditional nicknames for Margaret, as is Molly, though Molly is also sometimes used for Mary)

LaPufalina · 26/02/2019 20:48

We have an Emilia, could shorten to emmie, mils, Millie, mimi (she has a totally unrelated nickname though!)

Trinnidad · 26/02/2019 22:24

I'm afraid Ive said it on here before - Elizabeth is the best choice. I'm biased because that's my name but one reason my parents chose it was that it had so many shortenings I could really make it my own. The only shortening I don't like is Liz, but that's personal preference of course! I'm equally happy being called Elizabeth in full as by any of the shortenings (except Liz).

Also, I had 300 people in my year at secondary school and I was the only Elizabeth - it's quite rare now, often used as a middle name which means it just doesn't get used properly. There are SO many Alexandra's etc out there, don't do it!
