Do you mean Neil or Nile?

MrsFassy · 24/02/2019 21:19

@Aquilla I think OP means Niall. Perfectly normal name, spelt correctly.

I'd go with Niall, although Oliver is a great name! I've loved Niall for years and is less popular than Oliver.

MollyHuaCha · 24/02/2019 21:21

Oliver

Niall

Thanks MrsFassy Smile Yes it is Niall (pronounced Nye-al)...

I do like both, however am unsure if Oliver is too popular now.

Niall, definitely.

Very underused, and won’t be one of 3 in his nursery class.

Niall

Sorry, I used to know a kid who pronounced it Nile. Now I know a grown up who pronounces it Niall.
I'd probably go with Oliver but there are a fair few of them about.

Sophronia · 24/02/2019 23:29

Niall

Niall

But only because Oliver is SO dull from overuse!

Niall for me. Well known but underused and lovely imo. I really dislike Oliver (and Olivia), although I'm clearly in a minority given how popular both are!

MikeUniformMike · 25/02/2019 13:03

Niall.

BabloHoney · 25/02/2019 13:28

Love Niall
Oliver is nice too but very common at the moment

Flamingosnbears · 25/02/2019 13:44

Niall all the way!

PBobs · 27/02/2019 06:47

I know a Niall and he's a great guy. Sonthat name wins for me.

starkid · 27/02/2019 09:56

Niall

Livid21 · 27/02/2019 09:59

Oliver is so boring you might as well just call him “baby”. Every other under-5 round here is an Oliver. Also it sounds like you have a mouthful of marbles.

Milolioliv · 27/02/2019 15:32

Not sure if I'm posting to the correct place (this will be my first post)
My partner and I have managed to settle on a girls name (Ashleigh Olivia) but if we have a boy we are going to be stuck! We have 3 we like, but none of them really stand out for me. Please help!

George - I do really like but I keep hearing it everywhere! Especially now we have the young Prince, George and I realise now that is also the name of Peppa Pig's little brother 😂
Charlie - we both love this name but I didn't know if people still associate cocaine being called "charlie"
Jesse - another name we both really like but I didn't know if I'd be setting him up to be bullied with what most people would consider is a girls name. And I didn't know if Jesse sounded too American?
The middle name will be Connor and so I'm struggling to find names that ring well with that!
Thanks for any advice :)
