What do you think?

Kintan · 14/02/2019 22:44

Makes me think ‘American prom queen’ Sounds like quite an 80s name so maybe due a comeback? It’s quite a pretty name.

PersonaNonGarter · 14/02/2019 22:46

I love it. Very sweet but not twee.

SemperIdem · 14/02/2019 22:48

Very pretty.

Does make me think of The OC because she was the lead character and I loved it in my teens.

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 14/02/2019 22:49

I prefer Melissa

RoseMartha · 14/02/2019 22:50

I like it

DramaAlpaca · 14/02/2019 22:50

Love it

ThanosSavedMe · 14/02/2019 22:51

Love it. Used to know someone called Marissa, she was a lovely person, beautiful, kind and very funny.

Calloway · 14/02/2019 22:52

Lovely

notacooldad · 14/02/2019 23:00

I know a teenage Melissa.
She is really lovely and has a strong caring nature.
Therefore I'm rather biased and influenced by her but I think it is a great name.

Shadow1234 · 15/02/2019 00:37

Really like it - pretty name.

Lucked · 15/02/2019 00:53

I prefer Marisa with one s. Like Marisa Tomei.

I like it, it’s pretty.

Peachbubble · 15/02/2019 06:28

I like it

Threenanger · 15/02/2019 07:31

Gives me American 80s girl vibe so it’s a little dated, but a nice enough name

SallyWD · 15/02/2019 07:35

Nice but I prefer Marisa pronounced Mareesa

ParadiseLaundry · 15/02/2019 07:36

What Kintan said. In a good way. It's a lovely, pretty name that's not too cutesy and would suit a baby or a professional adult.

But as a baby she could have Missy for short!

Loops1987 · 15/02/2019 09:02

I love it but I have a 7 week old Marissa so biased.

Cosmoa · 15/02/2019 11:12

Love it 😃

StellaRae · 15/02/2019 11:28

It's ok. I'm not keen on -issa names generally, but I prefer it to Melissa or Clarissa.

Antonin · 15/02/2019 12:05

I think Marissa is lovely. Not too flowery.
Do you like Anissa, which is even less popular?

BlueMerchant · 15/02/2019 12:09

Prefer Larissa.

Tillygetsit · 15/02/2019 23:14

Trying to get away from the Ann names as I have a Susannah. OH has a cousin Melanie and we dont want her to think baby is named after her. Clarissa is a bit frillier somehow. Missy is a cute shortening. OH actually likes it so it's top of the list at the mo. Thanks for the help.

Really like it. Also prefer the pronunciation mareesa.

CatSmize · 16/02/2019 01:32

Nice, pretty name. I also prefer it spelt Marisa.

Freyanna · 16/02/2019 01:55

I like it, pretty name.

mathanxiety · 16/02/2019 06:55

Prefer Clara over Clarissa and not really keen on Marissa. It's quite frilly and dated.

How about:
Cora
Mara
Martha
