are Evelise and Evangeline too close and similar?
i’m not expecting just preparing. whether it’d be twins or singletons.
full names would be:
Evelise Primrose and Evangeline Clara/Evangeline August
thanks, x

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Everlise primrose looks like evening primrose to me. I really like Evangeline Clara though

daisypond · 09/02/2019 10:29

I think they're too similar and close.

Stinkytoe · 09/02/2019 10:30

Much too similar

MisstoMrs · 09/02/2019 10:31

Fine if you’re happy for everyone to know them as Eve / Eva. Otherwise too close. Pretty names though 😊

navyblue7 · 09/02/2019 10:35

i have been so torn as sometimes i’m like 100% they are too close and others i’m like it would be fine. i’ve even listed a few nicknames for them:
Ever and Evan
Ever and Evie
Lisa and Lina

How about Anneliese/Annelise instead of Evelise?

Elllicam · 09/02/2019 10:42

Definitely too close especially with the nicknames.

navyblue7 · 09/02/2019 10:51

not really a fan of Annaliese but thanks for the suggestion

I've never actually heard of Evelise. It looks a little odd to me.
Elise instead of Evelise? Angelina instead of Evangeline? That makes them look more different.

MikeUniformMike · 09/02/2019 13:58

Evelise seems made up. Evangeline isn't very nice either.

navyblue7 · 09/02/2019 14:18

thanks guys, my other options are
Evelise and Amabel
Evelise and Esmé
Evangeline and Ambrosia

I quite like Amabel, but people will think Annabel. You seem keen on Evelise. I still think it's a bit odd, but it's a actually OK, even if it's made up. Evelise and Amabel are my preferred options out of your three. Esmé is one of those names I don't like at all. Ambrosia - I just think of rice pudding, I'm afraid, but in theory its meaning and sound are rather nice.

bridgetreilly · 09/02/2019 19:28

I really wouldn't call a child Ambrosia. It's far too closely associated with the brand.

Agree that Evelise sounds made up and Evelise and Evangeline are too close.

joystir59 · 09/02/2019 19:48

Evelise just sounds daft. How about Angela

joystir59 · 09/02/2019 19:48

Ambrosia- rice pudding
Amabel- made up

daisypond · 09/02/2019 20:00

Amabel isn't made up. It's a very old name - used in the Middle Ages.

navyblue7 · 09/02/2019 20:38

neither Amabel or Evelise are made up. never heard of Ambrosia as a food or brand before! i’m not normally one for “old fashioned” names but these ones are rarely heard and i wouldn’t overly describe as “old lady names”
