Viviana and Lucien

Those are my girl/boy names. What do you think? I haven’t decided on middle names so would appreciate any suggestions.

Either way... I think Viviana is a bit of a mouthful. Lucien is lovely!

I had been considering Viviana Marguerite or Viviana Elise

Lucien Edmund or Lucien Charles perhaps

I know a Vivianna and it gets shortened to Vivi, I think it's a beautiful name. I don't like Lucien so much.

You may shorten to Vivvie, but do not be surprised if friends use Viv. If that would be an issue.

Vivienne is ok.Lucien, is really not great.

It seems quite 'try hard' (and yes, I know one should try hard when naming ones offspring but...)

Ahh okay! Yes well Vivvie is much easier to say. It's not my favourite name but it's very pretty and as I said, I think Lucien is lovely!

DP really likes Hugo for a boy but I’m not sure. He likes Lucien but I don’t think he loves it, nor do many of you it seems! I told one friend and she said it reminded her of Lucifer!

Viviana is too fussy for my liking. Lucien is a lot better but I don't like it enough that I'd use it for my fictional baby

We had Lucian on our name list.
Not keen on Viviana. Prefer Vivienne.

They both sound a bit pretentious to me, sorry. I much prefer Vivienne, who could still be Vivvie, and Luke over Lucien.

To me they sound like the sort of tremendously grown up siblings one might meet at a cocktail party in a Bloomsbury era novel. At a distance they appear intimidatingly glamorous and popular - but they invite you for a weekend at their down at heel manor house and you discover them to be shockingly kind and empathetic.
