Can't decide between these two names. DD1 is Lucy.

Eliza is my dd so obviously I'm biased 😁, but both are beautiful names imo. Re nicknames, our Eliza usually goes by Lizey (lie-zee) or Lize (lie-zz) One of her best friends at school is a Florence, and mainly gets called Flo.

My Florence is almost 7 and her nickname is Roo :-) Last year she had a friend called Eliza, both beautiful names. I lean towards Florence (obviously) but you can't go wrong with either.

Thank you so much for all your thoughts. Think I might be leaning towards Florence but so hard!

Florence.

Eliza. Florence is hugely popular and everywhere. I’m a bit bored of it tbh.

Scandaloso · 30/01/2019 20:02

Eliza.

Florence is a bit drippy.

sola82 · 30/01/2019 20:05

How about Elisa instead of Eliza?

pilates · 30/01/2019 20:24

Eliza

PinkAvocado · 30/01/2019 20:28

I too like both but Florence is more popular and I’m not keen on ‘Flo’ at all so Eliza edges it for me.

Catscakeandchocolate · 31/01/2019 12:38

Eliza. But then I don't like place names (I have one myself and have always felt it's not a real name)

Mountainsoutofmolehills · 31/01/2019 12:40

Eliza or Elixir. Not Florence. That's a name for a ghost that once scrubbed floors in a castle.

Xenia, Zoe, ... so many better names than Florence.

ReginaPhalange89 · 31/01/2019 18:31

Both lovely but I think Lucy & Eliza go nicer so I'd probably pick that !

starkid · 01/02/2019 13:43

Eliza :)

DramaAlpaca · 02/02/2019 01:40

Florence, though I think Eliza goes better with Lucy.
