If we like these names..... what else might we like ?

So far the only names we both have liked are Zoe and Finley 🙈 I think Finley is maybe too popular for my liking though. We liked Evan too but I'm kind of going off that now . I really like Fletcher , but OH isn't sure.

I also like Summer for a girl , quite like Francesca too.

Fletch the lech.
Zoe and Finley are nice.
Wouldn't go for another F name.

Gumball54 · 10/01/2019 13:01

Zara, Naomi, Kate, Ruby, Hannah, Eliza?

Boys... Flynn, Ethan, Grayson, Cameron, Spencer?

uhtredsonofuhtred · 10/01/2019 13:06

Evan is actually one of my favourite boys names I think it's lovely 😊

What about Finnan instead of Finley

ReginaPhalange89 · 10/01/2019 13:13

@mike what do you mean don't go for another F name ? We don't have any F initials in the house ?

Thanks so far ! I do quite like Zara but I'm Scottish and names with 'r' don't flow off he tongue that well. I do really like Kate actually , forgot about that ! I'm going to suggest that to OH.

Boys names are definitely harder for me. I've never found one I loved really. If my eldest had been a boy she'd have been Ethan but I've gone off that now. Quite like Elliot but OH doesn't . Spencer I have thought about too, don't mind that ! Grayson I hate , I don't get the love for that name recently!

Kate is really nice. If you like that what about: Emma, Anna, Rose, Alice?

Boys names are hard. If you like Elliot then maybe Emmett or Elijah?

ReginaPhalange89 · 10/01/2019 13:41

Emma is another one I love but can't use with family using it ! My wee girl keeps going on about Rosie which is growing on me , not sure if it's too cutesy though but I don't like any longer versions

Sorry, misread your OP. I thought you had a Zoe and a Finley.
My mistake.
Zoe is lovely, Finley is overused and Finn is a naughty boy's name.
Finnan etc is just another Finn and makes me think of haddock.
I don't like Grayson at all.
So F initial is fine. Fraser is nice. Probably quite popular in Scotland. Cameron was very popular at the start of the 2000s, so will probably be past its peak.
Kate is lovely (I have one).
Francesca is a bit too long for my liking.
How about Scottish names. There are lots of lovely ones.

Gumball54 · 10/01/2019 13:44

Rosie is nice, I’ve never met one before either. Could always go with Rose and nickname Rosie.

uhtredsonofuhtred · 10/01/2019 13:51

I like rosie, Eadies nice too

For boys what about
Brogan
Caleb
Jacob
Hughie

ReginaPhalange89 · 10/01/2019 13:56

I do like the idea of having a Scottish name but I have two girls already and their names aren't Scottish so just not sure if it would 'fit' . Not that it matters much but I'd just prefer they sound nice together.

I do like Murray for a boy though, Don't know if it's just my hormones 😂 also love Hamish and Harris but again they just don't seem to go with my girls names (Jessica and Phoebe if that helps )

@gumball I'm not keen on Rose , don't know why I like Rosie but not Rose . I'm not one for giving 'full names' for a first name and using a nn either, like I wouldn't put Rose on the birth certificate if I was only ever going to call her Rosie if you get me.

I like Jessica and Phoebe. How about Abigail? Murray and Hamish are nice.

ReginaPhalange89 · 10/01/2019 14:32

I do like Abigail but I know quite a few little ones with that name recently. Im definitely going to suggest Kate to my OH, I do love that.
Jessica, Phoebe & Kate sounds nice

Something 80s would go with your other kids names.
Definitely Kate. Or something along the lines of Louise, Lucy, Charlotte.
Boys are still hard but maybe like Andrew, Joshua, Daniel, Benjamin.

ReginaPhalange89 · 10/01/2019 15:22

Thanks gumball! I've always love Joshua but it's my cousins name so wouldn't use it. Daniel I also have a soft spot for ! Might add that to the list. Ben I also like but not Benjamin.... I do seem to like a certain era of names . Although I was a late 80s baby so lots of Stephanie's, Denise, Louise, Gemma, Amanda's , staceys etc which i don't like at all. Lol

I think Hamish goes very well with Phoebe and Jessica. I love it.

Finley and Zoe are just meh.

ReginaPhalange89 · 10/01/2019 15:28

I still like Zoe , keeping it on the list for now
