Frida/Petra

Wondering which one people prefer? Sibling is Faye

I love Frida, but not sure it goes with Faye- Faye and Lyra sound great together.

Petra I'm not on board with giving siblings the same initials.

Petra and Faye - fab names.

Sorry, but Lyra doesn't do it for me as a human name - feels too made up/Game of Throne-esque (and makes me think of Lycra!!)

Although I'm not keen on Petra, it does sound better with Faye. Weirdly that's my DHs ex's middle name too.....

Petra edges it for me, but only slightly.

I’m not a fan of Lyra. I think it is having a bit of a “moment” and could well date badly.

Love love love Petra. Both cool and classic.

A friend with a Frida also has a Mabel

Blue Peter pet names was my first thought too! Just no.

Frida looks so wrong! I'd pronounce it Frid-da.

Frieda is Free-da.

I overlooked the fact that there is an older sister Faye. I think Lyra goes better with Faye than either Frida or Petra.

I wanted to name DD2 Petra but was vetoed by DH. She’s Saskia.

Petra. Lovely, and pairs nicely with Faye.

Frida is lovely. That would be my choice.

People will pronounce Frida as Fridda!

If you mean Frieda, then I'd spell it like that.

The male version is Friedrich and not Fridrich!

Both lovely, strong names but I prefer Petra with Faye.
