Rate my boy & girl names please...

I've name changed for this so's not to out myself. Completely speculative post as I'm not pregnant (yet).

I just wanted some feedback on these possible names for our next baby, if we're lucky enough to have another.

Girl: Sasha Hughes
Boy: Joel Hughes

I like both Sasha & Joel. Nice names & there aren't many of them around.

I’ve got a Sacha 15 yrs old boy
I’ve met maybe 1 girl and 2 boys in that time.
I love it - ok I’m biased but it’s a strong name meaning helper of mankind and people never forget him or his name.
I don’t like it so much for a girl I think because of the male connotations- Sacha Distal Sacga -DJ Sacga Baron Cohen

Love Sasha, indifferent to Joel - it's fine, just not something I'd use.

Joel is pretty boring imo. Sasha suits a boy more than a girl imo.

Sacha is a shortened version of Alexander and a boy's name traditionally. Sasha looks like you don't know how to spell the name perhaps.

I like Sasha, not keen on Joel, prefer Joe.

I wouldn't ask strangers what they think. If you like them and your partner likes them go for it.

I knew a Sasha and it was a traditional Russian shortening of Alexandra. You could go for Alexandra then she could chose from a range of short names.

Really like them. Joel is one of my favourite boys names and I'm always surprised it's not more popular.

Just a word of warning about Joel - people pronounce it Jo-elle, Jole and Joe-ul. I think I say it Jo'l.
