Thoughts on Sidney or Eban

Just that really like or dislike?

Sidney is fine, I know a little 6 month old call Sid, bit of fashioned though
Eban just sounds wrong, like an e cig or counterfeit goods

Eban sounds like Evan with a cold.
(Or did you mistype Evan?)

I don't mind Sidney. Sid is cool. And I dislike most vintage names.

I love Eben, spelled that way. I might have a bit of a crush on a rugby player with that name

Man next door is called Sid and I really can't imagine a baby with that name because all I think of is him. But I do understand why you would want to use it as it those old fashioned cool boys names that is making a come back.

Eban/Edam - really don't like. Never heard of it. Is it a real name?

Sidney is lovely. I know an Eben and even though it is a real name it does seem like either a misspelling of Eden, or Evan said with a blocked nose.

Sidney is one of the few names I actively dislike, sounds like a Victorian spiv with a rat-like face and permanent runny nose. Eban is just a bit odd, not one I've come across before.
