Girl names that go with Lily please?!

Hi.

We have found out we are having a girl after being sure it was a boy with a name already sorted! We are struggling with girl names. I quite like long ones that we can shorten but would also like Lily as the middle name as a nod to my OH grandmother.

1. Isabella (I think this is too many L's?!)
2. Madison
3. Eleanor (although where we are from is would be pronounced ellener more than eleanoooor)
4. Any other ideas?!

Eleanor is the nicest of those you mention. Not Madison OP.

I think Madison goes best with Lily out of your choices.

Stick with the pretty flower names:

Ivy
Poppy

Eleanor is awful, Madison is Essex US wannabe.

I prefer Lily out of all the options, much as it’s over-used.

Sorry Lily wouldn't be the first name in any case it would be the middle name. I am looking for noce girl names that go well with Lily as the middle name please.

How about Sophia Lily or Alice Lily?

I like Eleanor but pronounced El-i-nor so if it’s not pronounced like that I would go with Isabella. I wouldn’t worry about too many L’s as first and middle names are rarely user together.

I like Eleanor best. Isabella Lily has too many Ls, though I like Isabella as a name. Madison is a bit downmarket to me. Don't go for another flower name, so no Rose, Jasmine, etc. I like Susanna above, but Susanna means Lily as well, so a bit odd to put them together. I like Catherine. Madeleine instead of Madison?

I don't like Madison and agree Isabella Lily is too much (also Isabella is incredibly common at the moment). Eleanor is lovely. I've always heard it pronounced "Ellener" in this country - as in Eleanor of Aquitaine, for example. I thought emphasising the "nooor" in Eleanor was an American thing!

I disagree with the pp suggesting flower names - Rosie Lily or Daisy Lily is too flowery (literally!).

Eleanor is lovely - a classic, classy and ancient name. I would definitely go for that over the other two.

I think Eleanor is a nice name but it's a mouthful with Lily. Madison is very modern so for me it doesn't go with Lily.

Its quite hard really, as Lily works better as a first name, but I'll do my best.
Lily and Isabelle are both forms of Elizabeth so technically the same name. Plus there's too many L's.
I quite like Lily Madison, but not fussed on Madison Lily.

Not sure if it's helpful but our DD is called Lily. Her middle name is Jessica (may work the other way around) and we're expecting DD2 in a few weeks and she'll be called Cecily.
