I prefer cassie but I don't like cassandra. What about cassia?

darkparadise1 · 27/12/2018 16:33

I love them both! I'd say Cassandra if I had to choose but they're both lovely and quite uncommon nowadays.

OrdinaryGirl · 27/12/2018 16:41

I like Cassandra. And I like Rose. If I named a daughter either of those I wouldn't use an abbreviation.

OrdinaryGirl · 27/12/2018 16:44

Also @ZebraKid71 I wonder if most people would only know Cassia as being the bark oil you add to Easter biscuits? It does sound pretty though...

MrsJayy · 27/12/2018 16:47

I prefer Rose /Rosie Cassandra seems a mouthful.

RavenWings · 27/12/2018 16:47

Both of them are nice. Rose is so overdone as a middle name, but it's lovely as a first.

I think I prefer Cassie but not sold on Cassandra. Cassia is ok - I also know a Kasia, which is beautiful but maybe a bit odd with no Polish connection. Could Carissa work?

Honeybee79 · 27/12/2018 17:11

Really like Cassie but not a huge fan of Cassandra. Like the simplicity and elegance of Rose as a first name.

DeepIn40 · 27/12/2018 17:15

Rose/Rosie

But prefer Rosanna and Rosa...

Alwaysonholiday · 27/12/2018 17:30

I like Rosa

hiptobeasquare · 27/12/2018 17:31

Cassandra.

MrsJayy · 27/12/2018 17:37

Rosa is lovely.

Feebeee · 27/12/2018 18:12

Love Cassie but not a fan of Cassandra although I don’t think Cassie is ‘complete’ enough for bc. I second Cassia as a pp has suggested
Don’t like Rose at all so overall would still pick Cassandra nn Cassie because the nn is worth it

Ipanema01 · 27/12/2018 18:21

Love Rose for a first. Rosie is also sweet. Cassandra/Cassie for me are quite outdated, sorry!

CloserIAm2Fine · 27/12/2018 18:22

Cassandra/Cassie

sluj · 27/12/2018 18:28

Cassandra depends on if you can deal with the North/South pronunciations of CassANdra and CassARNdra.
A bit too Fools and Horses for me

Sophronia · 27/12/2018 23:02

Cassandra is very underused.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 27/12/2018 23:55

Cassia.

RedDwarves · 28/12/2018 10:14

Rose nn Rosie.

I like Cassie but not Cassandra. Cassia is fine, but Rose is better.

Calledyoulastnightfromglasgow · 28/12/2018 10:17

We have a rosemary nn Rosie and I still love it

I like Cassie but not Cassandra

LadyGAgain · 28/12/2018 10:26

Rose/Rosie/Rosa/Rosalie

TatianaLarina · 29/12/2018 10:25

Cassandra/Cassie by far. Rose is massively overused. Would be nice as a middle name.

Cbeebiesrehab · 29/12/2018 10:40

Rose as a first name isn’t actually as common as some would have you believe (ranked 60th) I think it’s simple and pretty.
Cassandra is a bit Only Fools and Horses for me. Only hear it in Del Boy’s voice.

K80hughes · 29/12/2018 10:42

I like the Rosa alternative too :) beautiful xx

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 29/12/2018 10:42

I like Rose as a first name too. I only know one and she's 19.

DramaAlpaca · 29/12/2018 23:52

Rose is beautiful.

Cassandra is awfully fussy.
