Currently struggling with potential boys names (and girls but not as much!)

I have an Albert (Albie) and a Matilda.

So far for boys we kind of like:

Grayson
George
Rupert

For girls:

Adaline
Mabel
Romily
Ottilie

What other names do you think we may like?

Thank you!

We're looking at Arthur for a middle name. Family reasons!

Quite like the traditional names that can have shortenings for when younger.

Love your name options!

I like Rupert but maybe a bit close to Albert?

Someone has already mentioned Aurelia, which is beautiful. I also like Aurora.

MadeInCornwallx3 · 07/12/2018 13:38

Thank you!

Albert only ever gets called Albie, so I don't think it would be an issue with Rupert, who would probably get Roo.

Quite like Wilfred which could be Will/ Wilf or Freddie...

Hmmmm it's so hard!

I love Ottilie, wanted it for my baby but best friends name :( Wilf is also cute, George (but Prince George) Or Ben perhaps? William?

also Matilda is so cute:) I think Ottilie/Otterly would fit well with it too

ForAMinuteThere · 07/12/2018 20:58

Rupert is lovely and I think goes really well op. Also not that common whereas Wilfred/Freddie/Greyson are really common now.

I feel like Rupert is that sort of classic Will/Henry/George of the years gone by that will grow up to be a decent chap!

ForAMinuteThere · 07/12/2018 21:00

Oh and Romily is beautiful. Ottilie is just an awful name. I would hazard a guess that a lot are copying mother of daughters and it's a bit cringe I think (sorry).

Pinklily1 · 07/12/2018 21:16

If Albert is Albie, i'd keep Rupert as a contender. I also really like Wilf. The only name on your list I don't like is Grayson, which I find a bit American, the rest are all lovely.

pipilangstrumpf · 07/12/2018 21:29

I really like Rupert, Quentin, Rufus, Leonard for boys and Romily, Adaline, and Dorothy. They would all work well with your existing kids names.

MadeInCornwallx3 · 07/12/2018 23:06

Thank you - I also like Dorothy but it's DD's middle name

I'm sorry @ForAMinuteThere - what is mother of daughters? I don't want a negative connotation I'm not aware of haha

I love Romily but need to convince DH on that one!

Wilf is def being added to the list!

You have a lovely shortlist OP! My middle name is Matilda and I always wish it was my first.
What about Polly if a girl, Rory for a boy?
