If we like:

Evan
Arthur
Stanley
Albert
Rowan
Morgan
Jacob

Are there combinations of the above for first and middle names that sound better than others?
Also, any further suggestions that we might like? Dh has vetoed Jonah, Noah, River and Elijah. I have vetoed Joseph, Patrick, William and Charlie.
Thank you Smile

I'd add Innes to your list too Smile

Picknickers · 04/12/2018 23:12

I really like Jacob Rowan despite Jacob being popular.

Bitchfromhell · 05/12/2018 08:46

I always thought Innes was a girls name? Only because Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively named their daughter that...
Will have a google, not sure on pronunciation either.

Innes (pronounced somewhere between inn-us and inn-es; I'm rubbish at phonetics!) is the anglicized version of Angus. I know a girl Inez though.

Flamingosnbears · 05/12/2018 10:21

Wilfred is great BTW

Polkasq · 05/12/2018 12:01

Jacob Arthur or Morgan Jacob would be nice combinations from your list.

Austin
Jasper
Peter
Oliver
Michael
Oscar
Samuel
Victor
Alistair

Thank you all!

Jasper is nice but I've known too many dogs with that name Grin

I think I'm going to keep them all on a list and see who he looks like when he arrives. In my head he was a Jonah for the first 20 weeks, then when we found out for definite he was a boy dh had to gently explain he detested the name SadGrin I'm over it now (honest) but want to feel the same draw to a name as I did Jonah.

Actually, what if he arrives and I immediately think he's a Jonah Shock maybe I should make some sort of decision before the big day (Christmastime)?

Quentin
Reuben

Vincent

eastcoastmum2014 · 06/12/2018 17:12

I have an Albert Grin I must admit since having him I'm coming across more and more though- so much for me thinking it would make him stand out Hmm
I also love Stanley, I'm currently due my 3rd baby and if it's a boy we will be calling him Rufus xx

ThanksItHasPockets · 06/12/2018 17:19

We had similar names on our list, along with:

Hugo
Maximilian
Lawrence
Josiah

ForAMinuteThere · 11/12/2018 22:13

Oh Jonah is lovely. So nice. Persuade him OP!

Roan is also beautiful and strong.

Evan is cool and not common.

A lot of the others are a bit... wet...

Bitchfromhell · 13/12/2018 09:04

Currently leaning towards Evan Smile

Talked to dh about Jonah and he put on a daft voice and said "Jonah the moaner" which immediately annoyed me but what can I do?

Thanks for your input everyone, saw the midwife the other day and she suspects his arrival is imminent, eek!
