William or Gabriel

Think we have narrowed it down to three two names for a boy. Would probably use whichever we don't use as a first, as a middle so choosing between William Gabriel or Gabriel William.

I also think Gabriel seems too feminine, so William for me.

William. I’ve got a late teen William, and he likes his name. He’s never been called Willy.

Gabriel would’ve been Dd’s Boys name. Love it.

William is ok, but I much prefer Gabriel.

I have an irrational dislike of Gabriel. It could be from years of earbashing at a Catholic school, though.

I’ve got a Gabriel. I love the name, and his nickname Gabe/ Gabes. I get frustrated regularly with people saying and writing Gabrielle. Even his childminders DH gets it wrong. Sometimes I wander if I made the best choice. I so prefer it to William though. (I know several under 6)

I've never understood the confusion between Gabriel and Gabrielle. It's no different to Daniel And Danielle and no one ever confuses them.

William Gabriel flows better, but I like Gabriel better than William. I don't like the nicknames for William.

I also prefer Gabriel as I don't like the inevitable nicknames for William (will is a verb, Willy is a penis..!).
