Back again as our shortlist has somehow grown again! I told DH I’m doing a poll where the highest vote wins like I’ve seen another poster do on here... We’ll see if it helps! If not these babies will just have to four middle names lol.

You’ve probably seen the names on our list a thousand and one times now but I would appreciate one more vote on them please! They are...

Cecily Róisín (Ro-Sheen) & either
Dominic or Quentin Tadhg (Tige),

Emmeline Cara & either
Dominic or Zachary Tadhg,

Imogen Cara or Saoirse (Seer-Sha) & either
Dominic or Zachary Tadhg OR

Penelope Cara, Róisín or Saoirse & either
Dominic, Sebastian or Solomon Tadhg

Thanks!

Cecily and Dominic. Love Saoirse and Dominic too.

I’m stealing a couple of these names for my girls list op!

strawberrypenguin · 22/11/2018 09:16

Imogen and Dominic

pixieloux · 22/11/2018 09:16

@TatianaLarina Charming! Lol. It’s just a preference, obviously it’s not life ruining or a real issue to have names that end in the same sound together. We simply prefer how the other names on our list sound with Imogen.

Cecily and Quentin - love both names!

pixieloux · 26/11/2018 21:30

Shamelessly bumping for more votes as we’re still at a loss!

Emmeline Cara and Dominic Tadhg. Gorgeous names.

LegoPiecesEverywhere · 01/12/2018 07:36

Cecily or Emmeline
Sebastian

Obamallama · 01/12/2018 07:40

Emmeline and Solomon are both lovely.

I’m afraid I don’t like Dominic or Zachary at all.

pixieloux · 01/12/2018 10:21

Thanks everyone! My DH was still going back/forth so I left him to it 😂 He’s given me his top 5 so we’re a little bit closer, but not much...

Cecily Róisín & Quentin Tadhg
Emmeline Saoirse & Zachary Tadhg
Imogen Eilís & Zachary Tadhg
Penelope Róisín & Sebastian Tadhg

He also likes Esmée Clíodhna w/ any of our three boy’s names options.

He doesn’t like Solomon as much as these options and knows that I don’t like Dominic as much as them either so he’s made the decision to nix them.

Cecily and Quentin!

TigerReindeer · 01/12/2018 10:25

Cecily & Sebastian

lebkuchenfan · 01/12/2018 10:51

Cecily Róisín & Quentin Tadhg

pixieloux · 01/12/2018 10:52

Will also add that my top three are
Cecily & Quentin
Emmeline & Zachary
Penelope & Sebastian
And DH is having a hard time choosing so we will most likely roll with that!

pipilangstrumpf · 01/12/2018 11:05

I also vote for Cecily and Quentin!

Emmeline is quite nice too but may end up as Emmie (and there are so many Evies, Ellies, etc out there already).

pixieloux · 01/12/2018 14:27

@pipilangstrumpf Yeah, it is something we considered as Emily and Emma have been at the top of the name charts, where we live, for years now - I think.

Love Imogen and Zachary, nothing else comes close.

pixieloux · 01/12/2018 21:38

Not sure Imogen is going to make the cut... Having to nit pick to narrow down and we’re not crazy about it’s potential shortened forms.

OP posts:
Obamallama · 01/12/2018 22:33

What would Quentin be shortened too? Quinn? I like Quinn. Quentin is too associated with Quentin Crisp for me though.

Winterwonderland12 · 01/12/2018 22:41

Our Quentin is mainly Quentin, rarely shortened to Quenny or Quinn.

Most people think of Quentin Tarantino or Quentin Blake in my experience.

pixieloux · 01/12/2018 22:49

We’d probably shorten Quentin to Quinn - possibly Quen & Q. Blake and Tarantino are the associations I have too.

We’re thinking Cece for Cecily, Emme or Lena for Emmeline, Nell or Penny for Penelope, Seb for Sebastian, Zac for Zachary.

If we stick with them then probably Essie or Mae for Esmée and we’ve come up with Immy, Ginny or Gen for Imogen so far.

OP posts:
pixieloux · 01/12/2018 22:53

Want a name that we like multiple/all shortened forms for though really, which is why Imogen will probably be cut... No matter what we initially call them, it can soon change once at school, work, they’re old enough to say themselves, etc.

OP posts:
TatianaLarina · 01/12/2018 23:27

The Imogens I know are MiMi and Imo.

Nell is much nicer than Penelope.

pixieloux · 02/12/2018 00:15

Unfortunately not crazy about those either... It’s looking likely that we’ll narrow the list to the top three I posted earlier.

Also, prefer longer names that allow the use of diminutives. I like that DS can choose to go by Theo, Ted, Teddy, etc or his full name Theodore, for example.
