We really like Vivaan for our baby boy but it rhymes with our surname - Pradhan making it Vivaan Pradhan.

Just want some feedback regarding whether it is too rhyming and might cause issues with other kids in school.

I love the name Vivaan! I think it sounds fine with your surname.

Hmm it does sound a bit rhyme-y. Not sure that's a bad thing or not !

If they are both pronounced the way they are spelled then yes, too rhymy.

TheGrassIsGreener3 · 16/11/2018 14:13

I like the name but I personally wouldn't use it with your surname. The 'an' endings are too repetitive.

I like the rhyming aspect. It’s not an exact rhyme so it doesn’t sound a bit silly like Jim Simms etc. I think the combination has a nice ring to it.

I think it's actually OK and I have very good reason to hate rhyming names.

Badliar · 17/11/2018 12:19

It’s quite hard to say.

HotInWinter · 17/11/2018 12:30

I like it.
I think it's ok, as when i say the name, the final sounds are an and han, so stressed slightly differently. I guess it might depend on your accent tho.
