Hi!

I was just wondering what your opinions (all are welcome) are on the names Ava and Susie or Ava Susie (as a first and middle name)
Thank you very much :) Grin

Honestly I love both! Ava sounds more exotic to me

tablebrush · 15/11/2018 10:58

Just saw someone on the news called Suzella...not sure if I like it or not but could be another option.
Suzie, or Ella as a nn then

twilightcafe · 15/11/2018 11:01

Susannah (Susie) for sure.

Ava is equally lovely, but increasingly over-used.

loveshinealight · 15/11/2018 11:03

Definitely Susie! Ava is so overused now that it's become dull. Ashamedly I would roll my eyes and think to myself 'oh another one'!

Snipples · 15/11/2018 11:03

Much prefer Ava. Again popular for a reason and I've actually not met any among all my friends with babies

daisypond · 15/11/2018 12:44

Susannah is really great. I'm not keen on Ava - it's a bit bland. Suzanne?

Jungster · 15/11/2018 14:48

Susan or Susannah as a long name for Susie. But just Susie is enough.
Suzanne is the most blah to me.
Suzella made me smirk. Like Suse+ nutella

CoatTails · 15/11/2018 19:58

The Susie I know is really a Susanna and often a Zanna.
Maybe it’s the same one @MrsSiba

Charlieislovely · 15/11/2018 20:05

Susie 100000%.

Ava is boring IMO but I prefer names that end with IE. X

Fairypiggy · 15/11/2018 20:05

I know a Siouxsie which I really like. However, think she always has to spell it out and often gets spelled wrong.

username1724 · 17/11/2018 15:25

I have an Ava, and even in its height of popularity we still get 'oh what a pretty name' so I'd say do it! Really not keen on susie.. it's too outdated..

Whiskeyjar · 17/11/2018 16:15

I love Susie and also Suzannah

YourMilkshakeIsBetterThanMine · 17/11/2018 16:18

Ava is really bleh. There's so many of them. I'd choose Doris or Marge over Ava.

Susie is sweet.

RedRoseReb · 17/11/2018 16:21

Susie or Susannah for me, but it's not used much now.

Ava /Eva/Evie/Aoife/Ada just all meld into one to me.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 17/11/2018 19:34

Suzelle, nn Suzie.

lebkuchenlover · 17/11/2018 22:09

Susie or Susannah for me, but it's not used much now

That's why it makes s refreshing change. Lovely name!

pilates · 17/11/2018 22:27

Ava

Tantruminateacup · 17/11/2018 23:33

I'm a Suzanne, suzie or suz for short. I like it, there are not to many around. I wear a name badge for work & people always comment on what a nice name it is.

Pemba · 18/11/2018 03:03

Susie short for Susanna(h) is gorgeous. Susie is very sweet, but by itself could be seen as a bit juvenile once she grows up, she needs options. Susanna is absolutely beautiful and also gives the alternative shortenings of Sukie or Zanna . Or just Susan is fine, and would be refreshing these days. Or there is Suzanne of course (pretty) or Suzette (OK, but pancakes association). Or how about Shoshana? (Hebrew version of Susannah I think, so going back to its roots. It's more widely used in the US than here I believe, and one of the main characters in 'Girls' was a Shoshana).

Ava is a nice name, but totally overdone at the moment, they are 10 a penny. Eva is nicer anyway.

FartnissEverbeans · 18/11/2018 03:25

I was going to say Shoshana as well, it’s really beautiful.

Nacmonalds · 18/11/2018 12:38

I know a lovely young woman called Susi, short for Susannah. It suits her perfectly.

MikeUniformMike · 18/11/2018 12:45

Susie. Ava will date.

lebkuchenlover · 18/11/2018 15:09

Eva/Ava/Eve/Evie are SO overused and will soon sound dated.

Susanna is beautiful and interesting!

MsTSwift · 18/11/2018 20:32

At one stage one third of the girls in dds class were named a variant of eve /Ava. New mums take heed those names are full.

rach2713 · 18/11/2018 20:51
