So I think I've heard it in Tristan and Isolde but the wiki name isn't what I think it is. It's pronounced Brawnya but I thought it was spelt like Braughna or something similar but nothing comes up when I type it into Google. I believe it's a welsh name but could be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Smile

Bragnae or Bronagh

PippilottaLongstocking · 12/11/2018 22:52

Or Brónach
All pronounced the same. I’d guess they’re Irish but not sure

Bronagh and it’s variations are pronounced Bro-Na though, which doesn’t really fit with your phonetic spelling in the OP.

Is it a boy or girl’s name?

Opheliasgoldenwine · 12/11/2018 22:57

Girls name sorry Blush

Don't know if this helps but to be more precise it sounds like Braugh-nya

I'm not sure if that clicky link worked.

Littlesparrow0 · 12/11/2018 23:02

I think you mean Bronagh... which is the correct Irish spelling.

I just got it from here by looking up ‘Tristan and Isolde cast’!

I know one spelled Bróine, and pronounced Bron-ya. Of Irish heritage, if that helps.

Oops, took too long to type that one!
