I prefer Isadora, DH prefers Isolde so looking for your opinions. Already have a 3 year old Juno.

I prefer Isolde, pronounced Is-ol-deh

WowserBowser · 07/11/2018 14:54

I like both but Isadora the most

SuperstarDJ · 07/11/2018 15:42

Isadora mainly because Isolde may lead to a lifetime of pronunciation issues.

Goostacean · 07/11/2018 15:43

Isolde... Sorry OP!

Vi0l3t · 07/11/2018 19:22

Going to have to pretend this thread never existed to DH Blush I was counting on you! Grin

You can count on me OP. I think Isolde is really clunky whereas Isadora flows beautifully 😉

MrsFoxPlus4 · 08/11/2018 03:53

Don’t particularly like either but I’d choose Isdora. I had to google Isolde never came across it before

SleepWarrior · 08/11/2018 03:58

Not keen on Iseult/Isolde but Isadora is lovely.

I like the idea of Isolde but when I say them out loud I far prefer the sound of Isadora. It has a much lighter feel to it. Dora is quite a sweet nickname and Isa is very pretty too.

shiveringtimber · 08/11/2018 09:33

Love both!

MonkeyToucher · 08/11/2018 09:59

I personally prefer Isolde, just be prepared that lots of people can't pronounce or spell it properly!

If that is important to you maybe stick with Isadora (which is fine, but not as pretty imo)

Givemeallyourcucumber · 08/11/2018 10:04

I have no idea how to pronounce IsoldeBlush

TatianaLarina · 08/11/2018 10:47

I prefer Isolde, pronounced Is-ol-deh

That is a later German version.

The original Anglo-French name is I/Yseult/Isolde ending t or d. No third syllable.

BikeRunSki · 08/11/2018 14:29

I prefer Isolde but not sure if people would struggle with pronunciation.

This

Aquilla · 08/11/2018 14:32

Isolde looks beautiful on paper but you're going to get the inevitable 'I sold her for a...' and 'Juno is older than Isolde' gags.

TatianaLarina · 08/11/2018 14:47

Only from twits. Most names can be turned unto something.

Owlwantstoshare · 08/11/2018 14:50

I love both but think Isolde has the edge marginally. Beautiful

Vi0l3t · 08/11/2018 16:08

Sorry all! We’ve reached a compromise and seeing as baby is coming out of my vagina she will be Isadora and her middle name will be Claire to honour dh’s mum

DontCallMeCharlotte · 08/11/2018 17:05

Hurrah!

Isadora is so much prettier.

SmallDalek · 08/11/2018 21:42

Isadora Claire is beautiful.

starkid · 09/11/2018 09:35

I preferred Isadora anyway :) Congrats!

finallychangedmyusername · 09/11/2018 19:39

Isadora Claire is beautiful.
