Mira or Melia?

What would your choice be between these two names? ;D Oh and I'd like to add, she would grow up to look pretty foreigner-ish here. She's American-born-Chinese

Mira, no contest. As I said on the other thread Melia just blends into Amelia, which is dull as fuck.

Mei and Mei-li are both much nicer than Melia or Mira (which aren't great in the UK for the reasons mentioned).

Mira. But I wouldn't pick either if I wanted a name that was unusual. I know neither name has lots of people called that, but both names sound very similar to a lot of names that are common at the moment, like Amelia, Amelie, Mia, Milly....

they both sound like the brand name of the IUD I have fitted.

Mira is a brand name for a shower.

Mira means mummy (as in Egyptian mummy) in a few east Asian languages, not sure about in Chinese but we tried to avoid anything like that for our daughter.

Mela is a name.
