What names wouldn’t suit you?

Inspired by another thread, what names do you think really wouldn’t suit you? For example I see myself as quite serious and professional and I don’t think I would suit a cute, girly short name like Lexi or Maci. I’ve always quite liked Eleanor.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm not sure, but I do know I've never felt the name I have suits me. Then again neither does my middle name so I've always been a bit stuck!

LarkDescending · 29/10/2018 23:12

Daisy. I actually quite like it for other people, but I am definitely not a Daisy!

Picknickers · 30/10/2018 01:57

I am not a Patience as I have none and definitely not a Willow!

Polkasq · 30/10/2018 09:04

I wouldn't be a Betsy, Libby or Tabitha.

Lauraandbump2 · 30/10/2018 09:05

Ruby. I think it suits a dark haired girl.

Aalaaya · 30/10/2018 09:29

I wouldn't be a Lucy, Bethany or Katie. I only really suit Aalaaya!

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 30/10/2018 09:42

Anne , Jane, Helen . They would not suit me and I am not overkeen on them (apart from Helen) . Apologies to anyone with those names .

Icklepup · 30/10/2018 09:55

Something like Harriet

17caterpillars1mouse · 30/10/2018 10:21

Definitely not a Willow

BevBrook · 30/10/2018 10:26

Tiffany, Joy (I’m not unjoyful but it is a lot to live up to!), Ruby
I’m more of a Jane or Anne Grin

BluthsFrozenBananas · 30/10/2018 10:37

Grace, Belle, Chastity Grin , Serena, Patience, basically any virtue name. Also cutesy names, I would hate to be called something like Blossom or Posey. I suit short, practical names, because I’m short and practical.

ShadyLady53 · 30/10/2018 10:44

I wouldn’t have suited a Becky/Katie/Gemma/Vicky/Michelle type name.

I could see myself having being a Catherine or Elizabeth or something more exotic like Lucia or Anissa. Some of my parents other suggestions would not have been me at all! Erin/Raaquiiya. But some; Colette, Nadine could have worked. Apparently I look like a Rachel 🧐.

midsomermurderess · 30/10/2018 11:15

What I consider rather frilly names like Arabella, Juliette; Emily; cutesy names like Daisy. I'm almost 6' and not the most conventionally feminine of women.

fudgesmummy · 30/10/2018 17:08

I’m short and fat. The thought of being called Willow is laughable 😂
Also anything “cute” Daisy, Tabatha, Posy, Blossom etc!

TatianaLarina · 30/10/2018 22:45

Anything traditional or conventional, any surname as first name, any hyphenated name.

I would particularly not suit Eleanor, Elizabeth, Anna, Sophie or Emma.
