One week to go - still no names!

DD2 is due to arrive on 5th November. We are really struggling to find any names that either of us like and then that we agree on. I've thought a few times that I've found 'the one' but then a few days later after saying it a few times, I've gone off it. Names on the list are:

Agnes - thought this was the one, DH didn't mind it but wondering if it is a bit harsh sounding? Would shorten to Ness/Nessa rather than Aggie.
Constance - I love this, DH isn't keen, also sounds a bit of a mouthful with our surname.

Penelope - Like it but put off by the Kardashian connection!

Olive
Nancy
Frances
Dorothy
Violet - I love it but DH hates it.
Beatrice - Like it but we're northern and not sure it would sound great in our accent.

I've been through the entire list of baby girl names from last year and nothing else is appealing. Help!

I love all of those on your list, most are on mine too! Others I have are Hazel, Winona, Avril, Josephine, Romily, Claudia, Rosemary...

I was the same! We went with Elizabeth which I absolutely love now. She goes by Libby or Beth although my son has recently started calling her Lily/LilyBeth which is cute.

We also had: Isobel, Isla, Imogen, Harriet (nn Hallie), Juliet, Sadie, Scarlett, Hayley, Hazel, Jasmine, Erin, Ruth, Averil, Zoe, Alice, Lauren, Annabel, Tamsin and Amy.

As you can see we couldn't really settle on anything until a couple of days before and Elizabeth wasn't even on the list!

I know an Agnesa (pronounced Ag-nessa, slight stress on the ‘ness’) which I love! She’s British but I think her parents are Russian/Eastern European.

A possible less harsh version of Agnes (which I also love btw - so refreshing compared to all the Ava’s & Evie’s)
