I would say that Abram isn't a particularly strong name.

What about:

Arnold

I would assume Abram was Jewish. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but personally I wouldn't choose a name strongly linked to a faith I'm not a member of.

I really like it!

Looks beautiful written down. Strong and distinct. Will suit boy and man. His parents like it and he wants a name ...

PipGoesPop · 27/10/2018 07:58

He'll spend his life correcting people who think his name is Abraham.

Abram is brill! I love it! If it suits your boy then go for it.

MrsJane · 27/10/2018 08:07

Abram feels a bit incomplete to me. I don't think it sounds particularly strong either.

What about Max, Arlo or Irah?

I love it! I wanted Abram or Abraham for my DS but OH vetoed it :(

BobbyGentry · 27/10/2018 12:52

Reminds me of Abrahamic monotheistic religions, kinda "father of us all" vibe 😊

Heismyopendoor · 27/10/2018 12:53

I love it

vanitythynameisnotwoman · 27/10/2018 14:16

I prefer Abraham for the same reason I prefer Sarah to Sara - the 'h' sound was added, so the story goes, to represent the breath of God in their lives. I find it incomplete otherwise.

But if you are just going on sound and are unfussy about meaning, it's a great name. Congratulations on your lovely baby Flowers
