Quintin and

Which girls name would you ‘pair up’ with Quintin (NN most probably Quinn), for a twin sister; Beatrix, Cecily, Margot or Penelope?

We want to avoid their names being matchy as much as possible. Our other options are Zachary and Margot (but we won’t pair any of the other girl name options with Zachary due to them rhyming)

Older siblings are Aurora (Rora), Theo(dore) & Violet (Letty) Thank you for all your help - on all my posts... We’re almost there now then you’ll finally be shot of me lol.

Quentin is a much more common spelling, if you spell it Quintin he’ll be correcting people his entire life. As someone who always has to spell their (not actually unusual) name, it gets old.

I like Margot and Beatrix best of your suggestions.

I'd go with Quentin too, I think it looks nicer than Quintin.

Yeah, I originally wrote it as Quentin but DH said they weren’t pronounced differently so I checked on behindthename and he was right lol.

You can still have Quinn as a nn for Quentin

I really like Cecily. Cicely is lovely too. I'm a bit put off by the meaning though ( blind)

I almost like Margot...but not quite.

It has been used quite a bit around here (along with Florence and Guinevere). I really like Marion or Marian.

Not keen on Beatrix, sorry.

Penelope is nice but a bit meh compared to Quintin.

What about Cassiopeia nn Cassie. I quite like the meaning too ( she whose words excel) !

We have a Quentin! I think it's the more popular spelling and most people know Quentin Tarantino and Quentin Blake. You can still use Quinn as a nickname.

I like all your girl options but particularly like Cecily and Penelope.

@Sunflower321 Ah, lovely name! I don’t how we overlooked it before - something just clicked when it came up on my searches. It’s between Quentin or Zachary for our boy. We definitely want to pair Margot with Zachary and I think we are leaning towards either Cecily or Penelope with Quentin :)

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their help - on all my posts.

We’ve narrowed it down to Quentin & Cecily or Zachary & Margot - although I’m still worried about it with our son’s name. We have definitely come a long way since by first post of about 40 names for each gender though! I’m 20 weeks 1 day now so I at least feel a bit more prepared now lol.

Quentin and Cecily! Both great underused classics and they go well with your other childrens' names.

What would Margot's nickname be? I'm intrigued!

Ava goes beautifully with Quentin. Love Margot and think itgoes with both boys names you have.

Love Quentin and prefer Beatrix or Cecily. Margot sounds a little harsh and doesn't go so well with Theo imo.

We’ve definitely pairing Quentin with Cecily.

We have realised that Beatrix is the main character in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill films, Margo and Quentin are characters in the film/book Paper Towns and Kwen and Pen rhyme with Penelope so that left Cecily. I don’t find Margot harsh at all but I do worry about it with Theo but then again, as DH says, he is officially Theodore.

Unless we’re missing an obvious Quentin and Cecily connection and then we’re properly screwed!
