A girl I knew growing up was named Fawn, so to me it doesn't sound that obscure. I like it, I think it sounds pretty, I think the meaning is very cute, and it's unique.
However, like a lot of names that are quite unusual it might be one of those that's a bit like marmite, but if you don't mind that it might not be everyone's cup of tea, then I'd go for it.
