I work with an Amarah and I think that’s lovely. Amira reminds me of that.

Prefer Zaira and then Amira. I've not heard of Lamaisah and am not sure how it should be pronounced. I'm guessing it is La-May-Suh and if so then not keen.

We would pronounce it la-my-sah.

Think zaira is my fave too.

Is Maisa also an option? I used to know a Maisa....

Amira is a good one as it's fairly obvious how to spell/pronounce it also, might you like Lamia?

If you like the name, go for it. I think it’s stunning.

Since I’ve had children, I’m amazed at how forthright, and sometimes a little immature people can be about names. When we told my family our second Daughter’s middle name, a close family member laughed and said, ‘you’re not serious are you, it sounds like a bloody chemical!’ Yes, I am serious, it’s on her birth certificate, so get over it!
