What are your thoughts on the name Cormac, possibly occassionally shortened to Cory. I think it's a nice strong name for a man but struggle to picture it on a baby. Thought?

Yes, I like it. I think of Cormac McCarthy, the author.

I like Cormac but not that keen on Cory as a shortening. I just wouldn't shorten it tbh.

Love Cormac. Hate Cory.

ElspethFlashman · 14/10/2018 14:34

Have met many Cormacs. Never ever heard it shortened to anything. I can't stand Cory. Too Nickelodeon for me.

I like the name. I know one child named Cormac. When his parents are calling him in from playing, they call him Cormy Confused this makes me cringe

Love Cormac but not Cory as a nn.

Sungura · 15/10/2018 02:32

Cormac without the nn. Yes.
