What are your opinions on the name Julian for a boy?

I really like it.

Lovely name (brings back fond memories of a very sexy Julian I once knew!) def not homosexual

I dont like it at all. It sounds SO feminine.

I really like it. Reminds me of the Famous Five too but not in a bad way.

Julian Casablancas is indeed gorgeous but definitely in the “posh” group. He went to the most expensive boarding school in the world, Le Rosey in Switzerland.

A male relative has this for his middle name and absolutely hates it because he associates it with Julian clary.

But there's a little boy in dd's class with this name and it absolutely suits it.

Personally I associate it with the famous 5 rather than Julian clary!

It's a nice name but You'd have to have something distinguising and striking about you to suit it.

My second thought would be Famous Five.

I'm currently working my way through the Famous Five with DS1 so at the moment it seems like an excellent name.

The gorgeous Julian McMahon just about pulls it off but I don't like it at all.
There was a thread recently about what people think of as 'wet' names and the name Julian came up a lot.

Dad's name so I love it! He gets called "Jules" by his old uni friends but full name by everyone else.

I love it, it was on our shortlist using the nickname Jules until he grew into Julian.
