I'm pregnant with Twin boys and DH and I have a shortlist. Please give your honest opinions. Our last name is a quite long double barrel that starts with T. The twins have an older brother named Albert. Other names of a similar theme would be very welcome! Thank you!

Laurence
Alistair
Arthur
Spencer
Sebastian
Earnest
Finnian
Alexander
Frederick
Edmund

I like Arthur and Spencer from that list. Maybe Arthur and Alexander of you want them matching.

DC18 · 08/10/2018 17:44

My favourites are Sebastian, Fredrick, Arthur and Alexander.
Albert, Sebasatian and Fredrick may be the sensible choose so they have different initials but Albert, Sebastian and Arthur has a nice flow x

AfterSchoolWorry · 08/10/2018 17:46

I like Laurence and Finnian.

hallodarknessmyoldfriend · 08/10/2018 17:51

Arthur and Alexander

I like the idea of having 3 names starting with an A

DaCruzon · 08/10/2018 17:55

I like Spencer and Sebastian (although I don't like alliteration in twins). Alexander and Finnian go well.

Isn't it Ernest as a name rather than Earnest? (either way don't use it, who wants to be 18 and called Ernie??!)

osa20 · 08/10/2018 17:57

I love Laurence and Spencer.

I also like Alistair and Frederick.

Sebastian is OK.

Arthur is nice but overused IMO.

I'm not keen on the rest (especially not Edmund, sorry.)

ratherbeshowjumping · 08/10/2018 17:58

I love Ernest, Spencer & Laurence. Arthur is lovely but overused.

I would go for Spencer & Laurence.

finallychangedmyusername · 08/10/2018 17:58

My personal favourites are Alexander, Alistair and Arthur. I wouldn't use either though with Albert as I'd prefer each child to have their own initial. Stylistically the closest name to Albert for me would be Frederick. Laurence and Sebastian are great, I just wouldn't put them alongside an Albert (but all this is probably just me being strange!)
Albert, Frederick and Henry
Albert, Frederick and Stanley
Albert, Frederick and William... as suggestions

WaxOnFeckOff · 08/10/2018 18:31

I like Sebastian and Frederick best from your list

I'd add in Gregory, Edgar or Edwin to the mix

Albert, Sebastian and Gregory
Albert, Frederick and Edgar
Albert, Lawrence and Edwin

Sunflower321 · 08/10/2018 19:01

I'd avoid similar first letters for (twin) brothers

I like Frederick and Edmund

Laurence is a girls name in France, I'd spell it Lawrence,

How about Quentin or George?

Sungura · 08/10/2018 19:27

I like Arthur and Finnian.

serenmoon · 08/10/2018 19:29

I like Frederick and Arthur

lemoncrisp · 08/10/2018 20:11

I like Frederick and Edmund. Fred and Ed.

Peachbubble · 08/10/2018 20:20

I like Frederick. Not too keen on the others, how about:
Joseph
George
Oscar
James

TatianaLarina · 08/10/2018 20:28

Laurence and Sebastian by miles.

Albert, Laurence and Sebastian sound very distinguished.

MikeUniformMike · 08/10/2018 20:35

Laurence - not keen
Alistair -yes but not with Alexander
Arthur - yes
Spencer - no
Sebastian - no. Dislike it.
Earnest - Ernest. no.
Finnian - No
Alexander - yes but not with Alistair.
Frederick - no
Edmund - yes

How about Spencer and Mark or Ernest and Eric?

Shadow1234 · 09/10/2018 02:18

George and Arthur go well with Albert.

Shadow1234 · 09/10/2018 02:20

Or.. Stanley and Arthur

SadieAB9 · 09/10/2018 05:53

Laurence - hate!
Alistair - nice
Arthur - lovely
Spencer - nice
Sebastian - nice but very popular
Earnest - no ... It's a nickname for a bit of an idiot among the kids where I live. They do this horrible face and go "EEEEEAAAARRRNEST!!!" In this horrible voice when they think someone is being stupid!
Finnian - amazing!
Alexander - nice and cool nicknames.
Frederick - nice but very popular
Edmund - for some reason I don't like the 'mund' part. But I like Edward.

I'd go for Arthur and Finnian/Finnian and Alexander/Frederick and Finnian as I think Finn and Freddy sound really good together but also both shortenjngs are very popular at the moment so depends if this bothers you

SadieAB9 · 09/10/2018 05:56

Oh, just saw with a sibling called Albert I wouldn't go for any A names (all As would be a bit OTT imo and only 2 with matching initials might be a bit sad for the odd one out!). So that's problematic for my suggested pairs!

17caterpillars1mouse · 09/10/2018 08:13

Edmund and Sebastian

JaretsGirlfren · 09/10/2018 08:19

Spencer is my favourite, i absolutely love it, it was on my list if DD was a boy call them both Spencer

whatthefudgery · 09/10/2018 08:21

Finnian and Frederick aka Finn and Freddie

Icklepup · 09/10/2018 09:08

Ernest and Alexander

Lessstressedhemum · 09/10/2018 09:27

What about Isaac and Edwin, keeping the scientific vibe going.
