Name for sibling of 'Nancy'

Husband likes Rosie but I don't know if the 'ie' sounds at the end are odd - Nancy and Rosie...

What's the consensus?

I don’t think it’s odd at all. I’m a Lucy and have a sister Josie and it’s never been mentioned that the names are ‘matchy’ at all.

Nancy is really cool and vintage and kind of sassy! I think Rosie is sweet but nothing special, a bit cutesy. I think Nancy needs a sibling with an equally cool, vintage sounding name. I think:
Nancy and Margot
Nancy and Mabel
Nancy and Eliza
Nancy and Iris
all sound like great combinations - I imagine them as the mischievous sisters in an early twentieth century novel or something!

SadieAB9 · 08/10/2018 12:03

Or even just Nancy and Rose/Rosa. But RosIE is just not as cool as Nancy.

Notso · 08/10/2018 12:03

What about Rose rather than Rosie?
Hannah
Emma
Harriet
Clara

SadieAB9 · 08/10/2018 12:04

Oohh Clara is great with Nancy too!

I think Rosie is a sweet name, but Prefer Rosa with Nancy.

Love Clara as other poster suggested.

Personally I wouldn’t go for the ee sound twice but lots of people donand it’s not my baby. I’ve got a very close friend who has 3 children all with really really short names ending in the ee sound.

I really like Tess, Florence and Kitty too. There is an Alice, Pearl and Hazel in the family already!

Thanks everyone, great suggestions
