Can't agree on a boy's name

We found on last week that we are having a boy and we can't agree on a single name.

We went through all names on the top 100 list (on bounty) and still can't get a shortlist together.

Favourites so far are Eli and Jonah. OH likes names that can be shortened and I like more traditional ones (Henry, Archie, Jacob- but best friend has a Jake so that one is out!).

Middle name will be Arthur and we already have a Bethany.

Any ideas?

What about Elias , traditional but can be shortened to Eli

My little boy is called theodore which is traditional and we call him theo for short xx

Eli can be short for Elijah or Elias. I love them both but Elias is more unusual. Also really like Henry but Harry is everywhere x

Joseph, can be shortened but lovely and classic on its own.

I also love the name alexander, thats the name i would choose if i was having a boy now x

Hadn't thought about Elias - is it usually pronounce El-i-as. We talked about Ellis, elijah and Elliott as longer versions.

I love Theodore and would happily have a little Theo but OH says no.

Doesn't help we are both teachers- rules out a lot of names!

I love all the above mentioned - Elijah, Elias, Ellis, Elliot.

I know two Elliots and one Ellis, and they all get shortened to Ell. (Just in case that bothered you). But i personally really like it.

Lucas is another nice name,

I love Ellis. Gorgeous name, it's on our shortlist for baby due in 2 weeks!

I have a Stanley who's middle name is Arthur.

Elias Arthur is lovely

Another vote for Elias Arthur! I like Jonah, but I don’t think it scans at all well with Arthur. Not a fan of Fletcher or Logan, sorry.

I’m going to randomly add Johan into the suggestion mix, as that’s what my phone autocorrected Jonah too!
