What does everyone think of the name 'Exie' for a girl??? I can't decide whether I like it or not. I keep coming back to it when I'm searching but still can't decide if I like the sound of it!! Smile

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Sirzy · 02/10/2018 14:37

Nope not keen at all. Just doesn’t sound like a name

LusaCole · 02/10/2018 14:38

She’ll spend her life saying “no, not Evie”!

HeyToTheHo · 02/10/2018 14:38

People will think you meant Lexie but mistyped it

Wolfiefan · 02/10/2018 14:38

Is it actually a name?

Wellonlyifihaveto · 02/10/2018 14:39

There’s literally hundreds of lovely names out there, exie is not one of them.

flumpybear · 02/10/2018 14:40

No it sounds like an 'ex' nicey terminology

Oh he's my exie but I still love him Confused

Also everyone will either say Lexie or Evie

Mrskeats · 02/10/2018 14:41

It’s not a name

EdWinchester · 02/10/2018 14:41

Is it made up?

It sounds silly and people will mis-hear it for all eternity.

micropiglet · 02/10/2018 14:41

@flumpybear that was my first thought too, I wasn't sure if I was being paranoid making that association!

Definitely settles it though, won't be using it!! Smile

It's number 6 in Greek. Not sure I would, sorry. Effie? Etta?

PawneeParksDept · 02/10/2018 14:43

People will think you misheard Lexie

PickleNeedsAFriendInReading · 02/10/2018 14:45

You could always go with "Brexie", specially if you're due in March?

Mrskeats · 02/10/2018 14:49

I laughed out loud at that brexie

PavlovaFaith · 02/10/2018 14:51

Dear lord no. Please do not call a human Exie.

NotANotMan · 02/10/2018 14:53

It sounds like a sanitary bin company or something. Just why?

Seth · 02/10/2018 14:53

Yes sorry same for me. I immediately thought Brexit . Also you know she would suffer years of people hilariously (for them) putting an s before her name..

OrdinaryGirl · 02/10/2018 14:56

Emergencie Exie 🚨

missmouse101 · 02/10/2018 15:01

Come on! It’s a really daft name! Like two letter sounds: ‘x’ ‘e’.

NarcolepticOuchMouse · 02/10/2018 15:01

I'm sure people are just making up names now. This is the 3rd thread on active with a ridiculous suggestion. Unless you wish to doom your child to a life of annoyance and awkwardness constantly having to explain and spell out their name, just give them a normal one.

wildewillow · 02/10/2018 15:04

For god sake I wish people would just call their children Sarah for a change!

Exie is beyond ridiculous!

PawneeParksDept · 02/10/2018 15:05

I was going out with this girl Exie, you might say she's my Ex-ee

L0kiWh0 · 02/10/2018 15:09

I think there’s a legendary Pokemon called Exie.

Redshoeblueshoe · 02/10/2018 15:10

Just No
Have you been playing drunk Scrabble?

Rebellia · 02/10/2018 15:28

Ridiculous. Why would you want to give your child a stupid made up name that sounds like 'ex'.

Lexie - fine. Evie - fine. Exie!?! No way.

(My phone just tried to correct it to Exit)

villamariavintrapp · 02/10/2018 15:32
