Hi! We're due our first child in 8 weeks and are stuck for a girls name between Clara and Nina. What are people's thoughts? What do you think of the names? Need to help to decide!!! Thanks Smile

I worked with a very neurotic Clara which has put me right off so I vote Nina.

Nina is my favourite name. Classic, pretty, underused, international, no need to worry about nns, easy to spell, no weird pronunciation issues likely to come up... adore it.

DH isn’t keen, though. Clara is also in my new shortlist of possible names if he really won’t agree. Ticks all the same boxes! Love them both. Unhelpful, sorry Grin

I am currently snuggling my 4-month old Clara so clearly that is my pick! Nina is lovely too.

Clara all day long! My favourite girls name right now. I’d use it without question if I ever had another dd.

Nina sounds middle aged to me, but there seems a lot of love for it here.

I love Clara! I don't hate Nina but it's a name I just can't take to

SequinsOnEverything · 01/10/2018 13:31

I love Clara and don't like Nina

expatmigrant · 01/10/2018 13:52

Both lovely names but I would definitely opt for Nina.
Not biased at all Grin

Sophronia · 01/10/2018 14:18

Nina

MollyHuaCha · 01/10/2018 14:30

Clara is lovely.

(Nina sounds like a police siren - sorry)

RNM123 · 01/10/2018 14:37

I prefer Clara because it would suit anyone of all ages. Got to think of their future!!

starkid · 01/10/2018 15:38

Clara!

mintich · 01/10/2018 17:23

Clara but only because Nina reminds me of a siren
