Bit of a different one - my DS and I were at playgroup today and there was a someone there with a small baby Noah (a girl!)
Noah has never been a unisex name to me but the girl really suited it!!!
What does everyone else think?

Noa (girl) and Noah (boy) are two different Hebrew names with different meanings. Go for it, beautiful name.

So even though they sound exactly the same when said by English speakers-and they both sound like a well known boy's name in English they are still completely different names?

Bobbiepin · 30/09/2018 13:57

From the English perspective they are the same name. Unless you are Jewish or have some Israeli connection then they are the same (give or take an 'h'). No reason why it can't join the ranks of Charlie, Bobby/ie, Jamie etc.
