We’re having a boy and a girl... Yay!! We’ve ‘paired up’ a few names and would love to know your favourites, as you’ve been such a big help so far... Which is your fave boy’s name and girl’s to go with it? Thanks!

B: Dominic
G: Elodie, Florence, Imogen, Margot*, Penelope or Phoebe

B: Elias
G: Beatrix, Cecily, Felicity, Florence, Imogen, Margot, Penelope or Phoebe*

B: Elijah
G: Beatrix, Cecily, Felicity, Florence, Frances, Imogen, Margot, Penelope or Phoebe*

B: Sebastian
G: Beatrix, Cecily, Edith, Elodie, Felicity, Florence, Frances, Margot*, Penelope or Phoebe

B: Zachary
G: Beatrix*, Edith, Emmeline, Florence, Frances or Margot

*Too much with an older brother, Theo? I guess they would be Margot & Theodore officially, NNs Mari, Maggie, etc & Theo so is it not that bad? I think Maggie may be a stretch as a NN though? We’ve been trying to think of what possible shortened forms can come from the names we like and not getting much with Margot.

**Too many ee sounds together?

I didn't realise you had an Aurora and a Violet.

Linnea (Lin-nay-ah) would be a lovely girl's name to add to them, also a flower name. As is Jessamine.

Elspeth, Imogen are also very pretty.

I would definitely go slightly girlier than your list with those already in the house.

Still like Sebastian best for a boy.

pixieloux · 30/09/2018 13:26

@BewareOfDragons We’ve been trying to avoid an obvious nature name this time around... Well, not so much nature but we definitely want to avoid another flower or colour name (like Violet) really. We also decided against names ending in -a as they feel rhymey to me with Aurora.

DH wouldn’t go for Elspeth. Imogen is still on the list. We’ve gone through a TONNE of names and this is what we’ve got it down to lol.

I like Dominic and Penelope or Sebastian and Penelope.

If Elodie is too close to Letty then would Cece/Cici be as potential NNs for Cecily/Felicity? Cece feels the most natural and to be honest desired for Cecily anyway.

When naming my girl girl twins It didn’t even cross my mind about their names matching. They aren’t the same person. And I don’t really care if Everly & Stella don’t go. I feel the same when naming any siblings

I like Elias, Elijah, Elodie, Beatrix & Margot. Our Stella was near a Margot

MrsFoxPlus4 · 03/10/2018 04:26

Infact I have Layton, Romani, Everly & Stella.

Romani was unfortunately still born.

Don’t over think it choose what you simply like. Too many Os is a silly reason not to pick a name

pixieloux · 03/10/2018 07:04

@MrsFoxPlus4 I didn’t really care as much with my older three but it’s something we want to avoid with these two... They are already going to share so much. I personally didn’t pick up on where Elodie is too close but I think Margot is a bit too rhyme-y with Theo.

Dominic and Imogen

MrsFoxPlus4 · 03/10/2018 08:37

You don’t need to be sorry, she was a beautiful little soul. Twins are amazing, enjoy every moment!

Mummaluelae · 04/10/2018 11:50

As you have an aurora and violet, definitely Sebastian And either elodie or Penelope. Also have you thought about persephone?

pixieloux · 04/10/2018 12:08

@MrsFoxPlus4 ❤️

@Mummaluelae I still worry about Sebastian with Aurora despite my love for the name. I think Elodie and Penelope fit best with it too. We’ve narrowed our girl’s list down a lot since this post with a few more facing the chop too. Persephone was on our long list but it seemed too out there for us... I think she would be constantly correcting people.
