I’d go with Alexandra Pixie or Alexandra Lottie, personally.

Neither Pixie or Lottie are dignified names for adults.

Or Pixie could be a nn for Alexandra.

sleepismysuperpower1 · 20/09/2018 19:42

you could call her charlotte alexandra and then when she is here, call her lottie?

pouraglasshalffull · 20/09/2018 19:45

Nobody will ever refer to her by her full name, as in including Alexandra. She'd be known as
Lottie Martin
or
Pixie Martin
so I wouldn't worry about it matching with the middle name, I haven't told anyone my middle name since I was in school and people asked to be nosy

I think Lottie is a lovely name

kenandbarbie · 20/09/2018 19:47

I don't like pixie at all. Lottie short for Charlotte is lovely and timeless.

Georgetitch94 · 20/09/2018 20:07

Exactly what I have said to him

OP posts:
Georgetitch94 · 20/09/2018 20:08

Won't have Alexandra as a first name
And don't want Charlotte at all
But I have said it doesn't matter about middle name as you won't hear it

Lottie Alexandra is nice. I don't like pixie

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 20/09/2018 20:20

Pixie is just hideous as a first name, can't you use it as a nickname until your DD or you, more like grows out of it? Or, as pp have said, Charlotte, using Lottie as a diminutive?

sleepismysuperpower1 · 20/09/2018 20:21

maybe you could consider something else that is long for lottie, and always introduce her as lottie? maybe Lorelai?

NonaGrey · 20/09/2018 20:23

He wants Pixie Lou Alexandra Martin?

I wouldn’t.

Of your choices I’d go for Lottie Alexandra but I agree with Tatiana that Lottie isn’t a great name for an adult really.

Alexandra Martin is a beautiful name though.

MikeUniformMike · 20/09/2018 20:24

Lottie is fine as a 1st name.

brokenharbour · 20/09/2018 20:24

Don't call her pixie unless you want her only career options to be popstar or actress.

Georgetitch94 · 20/09/2018 20:29

I think Pixie is quite unusual we both liked it but more drawn to the name Lottie as first name And won't have it as a nickname as don't like Charlotte
He has agreed now after me reading all these comments we don't need another middle name

So she will be
Lottie Alexandra Martin
:)

Is anyone famous actually called Pixie?

FogCutter · 20/09/2018 20:32

Lottie is much nicer than Pixie.

A pixie is a little gremlin thing with big ears, why would you name your beautiful child that?!

lilax · 20/09/2018 20:32

Clearly an unpopular opinion but I love the name Pixie - been near the top of my list for a while! Lottie is nice too.

OpalIridescence · 20/09/2018 20:35

I know an adult women called Pixie, she is a scientist and a lovely person with standard ears.

EthelThePiratesDaughter · 20/09/2018 20:59

Alexandra is a gorgeous name for a little girl or a grown woman.

Lottie and Pixie are kind of silly for anyone over the age of five.

LucyInTheParkWithDragons · 20/09/2018 21:01

Lottie Alexandra is lovely.

LeeMiller · 20/09/2018 21:36

Pixie is a nickname or Bob Geldolf's daughter. Lottie is nice, though personally I'd use Charlotte (or Carlotta, Colette, Loretta etc) on the birth certificate so she has the choice when she's older.

NonaGrey · 20/09/2018 21:53

He wants Pixie Lou Alexandra Martin?

I wouldn’t.

Of your choices I’d go for Lottie Alexandra but I agree with Tatiana that Lottie isn’t a great name for an adult really.

Alexandra Martin is a beautiful name though.

wildewillow · 20/09/2018 22:02

Lottie Alexandra is lovely. Please don't add Lou. It's very naff.
Initials don't matter unless it spells something rude.

Shadow1234 · 20/09/2018 22:30

Agree with other poster - Lottie is fine as a first name.
Goes nice with Alexander as well.

ReginaPhalange89 · 20/09/2018 22:35

Pixie isn't great. And pixie Lou is so much worse lol!

Definitely go with Lottie!

NarcolepticOuchMouse · 20/09/2018 22:45

Neither, they're both nicknames not legitimate first names. I don't think your dd will thank you for either when she's an adult. It's a struggle to take either seriously for a grown woman. I agree with the other posters that Charlotte seems to be your only choice out of the lot.
